Check out Strike Industries charging handles. Very good quality, IMO comparable to Bravo Co., at about a $20 savings. Primary Arms has them on sale at I think 10 or 15% off right now.

Issued trade ins are good buys, the guns typically aren't shot much and serviced by a factory trained armorer.

Picked up a Galco concealable for my new STI guardian. Wearing it around the house to break it in. I think I'm gonna like this gun a lot.

To be honest, it's a cheaply made gun. I've taken it all apart and really got into the guts. It better shoot unbelievably. If not, it's gone, and this will be my last Savage.

I didn't even notice it had a plastic trigger guard at gun shop, which promptly cracked upon tightening it back down.

Those Savages are known for incredible accuracy, I don't think you'll be disappointed with it's functionality. Have you looked into a DIP trigger guard?

I've got a Mk2 in 22long, it'll smoke golf balls at 100 all day long. I replaced the stock (didn't care for the thumb hole) trigger guard with a DIP (it came with the stock) and the trigger was changed out for a Rifle Basik.

    That's a nice setup!!

But I can't see putting any extra money into this gun. Had it been a cheap gun from the start I would (like a 10/22), but this thing was $490.

The cheap ass, sloppy bolt really bugs me.

The trigger feels ok, but the blade catches on the trigger when you squeeze it, and it's really annoying. I'm hoping it breaks in, but I don't think it will.

Like I said, this thing better shoot the lights out or it's gone.

Ah sweet, that's what I was thinking. Hopefully it's nice, it's a DAO, might be converting it to sa/da in the future after shooting it.

Either way I'm stoked , always wanted a sig, wish it was 9 mm but no biggie .

I got an issued trade in g22 .40. It was practically brand new except for holster wear.
