I'll be completely honest: I bought the 4cyl 4x4 Tacoma because it was the most affordable 4x4 pickup and our sailboat is well within the towing capacity. I can comfortably say, in 9 months of ownership, that I've never found myself in need of more truck or a bigger engine.

The Colorado is a damn sexy looking truck, but the GM reliability and inability to get the manual transmission on all but the base two wheel drive was a turn off.

My wife absolutely hates the manual transmison and I'm tired being reminded that she hates it and can't drive us home when I've had too many beers, so I think our next truck will likely be a v6 Tacoma or a Tundra. I don't currently need a bigger truck but would like the ability haul more boat when we decide to step up our sailing game.

I cried when I saw what they did to the Pathfinder. Should have never sold mine.

    In order:
    1. Tundra 5.7 (with an ARB locker and small lift added real quick to get closer to taco offroad ability)
    2. Dodge power wagon
    2a. F250 PSD

I test drove tundras before and they are sweet, that motor is awesome, but gas mileage is not. And they sit really low and still no available locker.
The power wagon is expensive and a mopar product, but awesome factory equipment. The F250s seem pretty solid, but it's big money. The 6.7 psd is a good one, but it's bogged down with emmissions controls and now the EPA is supposedly cracking down on modifying post 2012 diesels. Why make 1000 ft/lb and get 23mpg when you could make 800 and get 15mpg?? So that takes all the fun out of new diesels

The Tesla Model 3 will be my next car but I'll be keeping the Tacoma to go with it.

Same reason I bought my single cab 2WD. Does what I need it to do. I'm a commuter who needs to haul stuff once in a while but not anything like a boat.

The GM reliability issue is enough. My 2006 Colorado puked the head at 70K..Google the head issues they had on those. That was one thing but GM and 2 dealers outright lied to my face. Was like having my sister's 3 kids in the kitchen with a busted cookie jar and nobody knows anything but it's not them. A "free" warranty fix cost me 2 grand and I was told it is normal and to shut up and deal with it. Yeah..

Hmmm...If for some reason the Tacoma wasn't an option, and I didn't absolutely need a truck, then I would definitely go with the 4Runner TRD Pro in super white. If I had to have a truck, then I'd probably go with a Ford F250 super-crew, gas burner, in that caribou brown color. Good luck!

I ended up with my 2015 TRD off road taco, but I actually had my heart set on a 2006 evo 9 Mr, but just wasn't practical for a daily

The Rangers in Michigan have been running around with the 2.4 L or 2.7 L Ecoboost in them according to my source.

After now having my 2016 Tacoma since November -- I'd probably go with the 2015 Tacoma or up to a full size Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, or Tundra in that order.

I cant count how many people have said that he would rather have gotten a 2015 over their 2016, not to rub it in but I'm super happy to have gotten my 15

Well, it's not a mini truck. It's a bit bloated to me.

That said, I also wonder why you are changing?

I mean I know you're talking trucks. But thought I'd have some fun just using your title question. :burnrubber:

I've always had a soft spot for the supercharged Range Rover Sport, and man you can get a deal on a used one.
