    Truck looks good.

That said, I see a double yellow on that street, is that a residential street?? That looks super tight! It appears barely one car at a time could travel on that street.

anyone know what exactly are the vacuum boxes/units in the drivers side corner of the 3.4L v6 engine bay? (right next to the brake booster)

i've seen some newer year 1st gen tacomas without them and my 98 and many other earlier gens i've noticed have them. are they for emissions? cruise control? ...?

also has anyone ever 'deleted' these to make more room in the engine bay? i know nothing of the 3.4L engine management, are there different systems between 1998 and 2004 for example? i'm just curious if parts from a newer gen could be swapped into my truck to make more room and clean things up without changing how my engine runs

It's an emissions VSP box/system. Expensive to change when it cracks.

I have been looking for a way to delete it for years. Seems like a lot of wasted space.

Yeah it's very cluttering and space consuming compared to the re-engineered system in the newer years. I'm going to passively look into it over this summer. I don't want to "fix" something that isn't broke and cause problems just for the sake of a cleaner engine bay. However, I would think that if the mechanical components of the engines are the same, and the programming for the engine management is the same (?), there must be a way to do it... might have to try making a separate thread about it

Alright this is gonna be hard to explain.
Those battery ring connectors you put on the battery terminals. I was seeing if there was something I could buy to bolt somewhere and connect the ring connectors to without cluttering the terminals.

You mean like accessories connections and such?

Im looking to do something similar. Alot of guys use an external fuse block and run accessory connections to there and run one wire from the block to the battery. Definitely cleans up the engine bay.

Yes I believe so. I'm running out of room bolting relays, HID ballast, and some other things around the battery is getting to be a handful on room.

Yea I know what you mean my drivers side is a mess with wires its kind of a hazard. Im going to run a blue sea fuse block to organize the fuses. I still have to shop around to find a relay box/ organizer to clean those up aswell

Why does the driver side of the hood come up this far while on the passenger side it doesn't? It vibrates a lot going 65 mph

Yeah I did. It was too high at first after my conversion (thought the hood was bent) and lowered it so it is level with the fender but I and the wind can lift it up. The passenger side is solid. All the bolts on the hinge are tight as well.. Maybe the driver side hinge is weak? Can I stiffen it?

Got my Redline Tuning hood QuickLIFT System today and got it installed.
It works great and I got it at a good price through the group buy.
