@CanisLupus what BS did you go with on your F5's? I'm looking to mount the same tires as well.

    Thanks!

I still think you need a second complete set of wheels and MT tires.... I also happen to know where you can get a set for a very reasonable price. :D

Installed WheelWitness dash cam. This thing will be so much better than my GoPro. With the GoPro, I had a wire hanging in front of my face and I had to turn the camera on and off every single time I drove.

The WheelWitness comes with a very long wire to plug into the cigarette lighter, so I was able to route the wire through the headliner, down the A-post, under the door trim, and back up under the center console so there is very minimal wire showing, and ZERO hanging in front of my face. It automatically starts recording with ignition (or "ON" power) and automatically turns off after a couple seconds when I shut the truck off. Video resolution is 2304x1296P and a 170* FOV, so I don't think quality will be an issue. It is also kind of cool that there is a screen on the back so I can ensure the camera is recording the angle and area that I want it to be recording. Optional microphone enabled (I turned on), optional GPS stick (I am using it), loop recording, and a whole bunch of other settings to customize how you want it setup.

I'll take pictures of the camera / wiring and I'll try and upload a video of a quick drive tomorrow.

Will do. I have it to cover my ass if anything happens. I've seen scams where people reverse into other cars in traffic and claim that the other car rear-ended them. Stuff like that is always sketchy without evidence, so it's worth it to me to have the dash cam. I was able to get it for $130 on Amazon, which I think is a pretty decent price for the video quality and other settings it offers.

Here's some pictures and a test video.

The wires in the first and last picture are the only visible wires. I may try and figure something else out with the wire showing at the cigarette lighter to hide it more, but it works for now.

If Youtube sets your auto quality to 360p, you should be able to select 1440p from the cog icon. Full screen obviously provides best video.

You can see there's a little bit of shake in the mount, I tightened up the adjusting screw with a screwdriver so it's not just hand tight. Should stabilize it better.

Ordered a replacement neoprene cover for my Hi-Lift. The sunlight has damaged my current cover to the point that it is starting to degrade and the neoprene is tearing.

@ChamYota Camera is great so far. Sooo nice to not have to manually turn the camera on and off and not have a wire dangling in my field of vision.

I'll update if I have any problems, but it was well worth it for $130.

The camera is capable of 1296P (30 FPS) at 2304x1296, but YT puts it at 1440 ;)

Mine is 1080P and looks pretty good, but quality is a bit lacking for night driving. How is it mounted to the windshield? Suction cup or tape? My old suction cup mounted one was in my floor one hot day and it wouldnt work after that. My new one is small, light, and mounts to a 3M double sided mount. Tucks up nice behind the rear view mirror. Also mine only takes up to a 32GB micro SD. Wouldve liked to have option for 64 or 128, but itll do.

For the battery, I know you have a lot more toys installed on yours that draws amps, but I am still on my original battery since Aug 2009. Getting kind of worried though. I know one day I'll walk out and turn the key and it will be working one minute, dead the next.

It came with a suction cup mount and two adhesive mounts, and I used adhesive since my UG kept coming off in the cold when I had it mounted on the suction cup before you helped me move it. My GoPro suction cup mount never came undone but the adhesive mount is smaller and it allows the camera to be mounted tighter up behind the rearview. Mine also supports a 32GB but it came with an 8GB card which I'm using for now.

I think I may get the VatoZone Duralast 27F battery within the next year. I'm about to tick over 40K and my truck is nearing 5 years old now so I'd rather do it a little early then walk out to a dead truck, especially if I'm not at home. Also with the winch and other stuff, I'd rather have a newer battery.

New Hi-Lift neoprene cover on. The old one is trashed, only a year and a half with the jack on the rack (exposed to sunlight). Guess it's not bad for that long, the covers are about $30.
