Garlic has sprouted, onions shallots and leeks planted. Waiting on lettuce, cabbage and broccoli to plant. Still have to wait over a month for other stuff because of frost.

I don't do garlic. Broccoli should be in in a few weeks. Wife doesn't want lettuce or cabbage.

Plant garlic in the Fall, not hard. Has to be a certain depth, maybe add bone meal to soil, or is that just dahlias.? I've only done it a few times, not overly wet soil. I need to determine when to lay off the watering in late summer or whenever.
Got my deer fence partially done on Saturday, will plant peas and lettuce soon here in N CA, 4,000' elev. One year it was nice, planted peas early, in late March that year, proceded to snow, no crop from that planting. Had to replant.

This is the little sprouts from the bulbois (the little flower like pod on the plant that produces mini garlic cloves aka bulbois) these will provide the garlic to plant in the fall.

This is what I planted from the garlic cloves from last year's batch. This is what we will eat. It was all planted late last fall.

If I remember correctly, you are in the far south. You may not have as much luck because garlic loves the cold. I'm not sure on why yours isn't sprouting. I've had luck planting in both early spring and late fall.

Yep, I'm in iowa and it survives a zone 4 winter. We get Temps below 0. We also harvest them around the middle of July before it gets too hot.

Just sowed some lettuce and carrot seeds today, have onions and peas in as well, which aren't doing much yet. Hopefully the rain this week will make em pop.

Broccoli starts go in this weekend.

The soil here has finally warmed up enough in my beds that get the most sun for me to till them and get my peas, beans, and root veggies planted (carrots, beets, & parsnips) so I'll be doing that this weekend. I've got hoops set up over the rest so I can get them up to temp and get my tomatoes and peppers and vine veggies in soon too. Hopefully by next weekend it'll be warm enough for those.

Pics or it didn't happen :p

For instance, my sunflowers usually end up around 12'-14' by the end of the growing season.
