lets say it drives well enough at highway, lol. its definitely noticeable, just not "dangerous" is the best way to put it. but yea thats when we tried to continue going over the top of the rock.

Haha. I was thinking the rock dented your driveshaft "perfectly". You going to get a different style driveshaft now? I used to have a double "cv" type driveshaft on my Samurai that worked really good, from Tom Wood's Driveshafts. That one was at an extreme angle with no vibes.

I'll just leave mine's alone if I can't get rid of the vibe with the carrier bearing. It's just for a split second at takeoff, and not like it vibrates at cruising speed.

I was just thinking to run it as is?: notsure:

    Does that cause more issues?

I honestly don't know if it will cause any issues on a Tacoma. It was just the only way on the Sami to not have the driveshaft binding.

Edit: You mean issues if you run your driveshaft with vibes. It'll cause your u-joints and carrier bearing to go bad faster.

Poser shots, because it's a very nice day to clay bar and wax the truck with some badass detailing shit that @D.Mathys was nice enough to give me.

And....I'll post this pic of this asshole one last time:

I opened up the UCA covers to clean and lube uniballs and they still look brand new. So I just wiped them down, soaked them with some Triflow dry lube, and capped them back up.

I just used some HD 3M tape I had laying around to secure the caps.

I also cleaned the coilovers and wiped them down with Corrosion X. Seems to be doing a good job so far.

Yeah, the coilovers get dirtier faster with Corrosion X on it because it's like wiping a thin layer of oil on it. But, as long as I wipe it down with a rag it all just comes off and the threads and shock body seem to be staying in good condition.
As for the uniball, I heard stories about how the cap promotes rusting/corrosion. Mine shows just the opposite, those suckers always look brand new everytime I open them up. Since they were new, I've been sealing them up with the cover while they are still wet, sitting in Triflow Dry Lube (drip bottle), and I'll continue to do that because they are still tight and make no noise.

Great idea on reusing the caps! I'll have to do that!

I thought you had those heimed billet blinging UCA's with caps that get fastened with little screws?

New front hubs/bearing assemblies are next on my shit list. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I can hear a tiny growl when I hang left turns only. Checked everything and there's no play in anything. Truck drives good/same as before the noise. I actually don't know how long that noise was happening because I might have thought it was just the mud terrain tire noise. Maybe I'm just catching it before it really gets bad????

I'm putting new bearings and hubs on my truck. I heard a growl coming from my passenger side. Now it's louder and now has a little play to it. Also it warped my rotors

That sucks. I'm going to just change mine out for piece of mind and save the good side for a spare.
