Ordered my Allpro Expos today! Unfortunately there's a two week backorder  but it should be worth the wait. Also got some frame paint and new front brake dust shields...gotta stop this little bit of rust now. Anyone else running expos? Pics would be great, I decided against the standard leafs because I do have a fiberglass topper (~130lbs), Steel roof rack im going to make (~25lbs), Bed rack with trail jack, shovel, and 8lb maul (~45lbs), Allpro rear bumper with hitch and 33 inch spare (~60lbs over stock) that I will be carrying all the time. And when I wheel I will also have two tool boxes, extra fluid, and camping gear (~150lbs). Was a little concerned about having too much rake but time will tell!

Got my front struts, coils, UCAs and flares off. Time to start tearing into the rear axle. Im going to put the stock springs from my double cab on the extra cab once my expos get here.

Got the damaged leaf springs off and managed to cut the front bumper off with my harbor freight grinder haha. Had to move the radiator out of the way to get to it but it'll all be worth it once the new build is finished! Tried changing out the belts on my new truck and found Ive been leaking coolant. Also broke more bolts than I'd like because most of them are rusted out. Hate to say it but at this point I need a car to get to school so I'm probably going to take it somewhere and let those rusty bolts and coolant leak be someone else's problem.

What started as a simple belt change turned into a rusty bolt nightmare that the dealership didn't even want to do at first. All in all they gave a fair price to change the belts as rusty as most of the hardware was. Found out the coolant leak was from a bad water pump. Decided to replace pump, timing belt and tensioner while it's apart. Since I don't have the time to do this kind of stuff, it's getting real expensive and real old.

The new water pump, timing pulleys, timing belt, serpentine belt, AC belt, power steering belt and timing tensioner is on! Runs great now and doesnt smell like coolant when you get out anymore. Made some progress on the new truck when I started tearing into it I found that there is always more rust than you think and one thing I will never miss about Pennsylvania winters is the salt! Got the bed off and started cleaning up the frame and axles. Got the old rusty break shields off and the front bumper. Got a new welder from harbor freight to help get rusty, stripped bolts out, repair the bed, and weld the stock front bumper mounts on the old truck.

The old truck looks weird going back to stock! Gotta say I'm glad I ended up getting the welder. It saved a lot of drilling and tapping and is good for practicing since I'm new to welding. Especially since the welds I'm making won't be seen haha. I'll post pictures when my friend and I finish patching the bed and get the frame painted.

I have the Allpro Expedition leaf packs on my 2001 Double cab, they are great, very flexy, and still provide 3" of lift with 500lbs in the bed.

I think I'm going to end up getting the all pro 1.5 in extended shackles. Those bolts are a huge PIA to get out of the leaf springs. I just don't want so much rake that it looks weird. I would like it to be level with ~500lbs of cargo. Thanks for the pics too the truck looks great! Also what front set up are you running?

The XC is sold but Im keeping the front and rear tube bumpers, front fender flares (the rear was cracked so I had to buy a new set), front shocks, coils, and UCAs. These are all going on my double cab and the stock bumpers etc are going to the XC for the guy who is fixing it up. He said he's going to drop a new cab on it.

I just have Fabtech DirtLogic coilovers up front, set to about 2.5" of lift, with 300lbs extra weight from front bumper and winch

I'm going to be running the bilstein/eibach combo at 3 inches and my bumper might add 200lbs so I think even with extended shackles I'll be sitting fairly level with a loaded bed. Are you running 285s?

Got one set of leafsprings off the double cab...gonna need some new mounting hardware the front bolts do not want to come out! Shortened the exhaust and relocated the hanger to avoid smashing it on the rocks like I've done a few times in the XC.

All Pro Expos came in today! They look great can't wait to get everything put onto the double cab. I just need to get the stock struts and UCAs off of it and finish cleaning and painting the frame before installing everything. Got the leafsprings put on the XC as well as the stock rear bumper from the DC and spare.

The guy who is buying the wrecked truck dropped off a new driver side spindle, lower ball joint, outer tie rod end, stock Toyota struts, and a spacer lift. I had agreed to install all of this as well as the stock passenger leaf springs with the AAL that was originally on the truck, the stock UCAs and upper ball joints, and the stock bumpers from the DC. Finally all of this is done!! It is ready to roll onto a trailer and get the heck out of my garage! The UCAs and ball joints went a lot smoother than I expected when taking them off the DC. Now all my attention can go to one truck :D

After spending a couple hours trying to get one stubborn cab mount bolt out the 4crawler 1 inch body lift is installed on the cab. Even though it's controversial I went ahead and put the revtek 1 inch diff drop on that I had on the XC. Also wire wheeled a little more on the under carraige, fixed a broken fuel door hinge, put on the all pro expos with Bilstein 5125s, and installed the camburg UCAs.

Did the maglite mod haha. Painted and cleaned the front wheel well areas and put the Bilstein/eibachs and new brake shields on. Finished the bed patch and came up with a creative fix for the toolbox handle that got broke during the accidnet using the old u bolts off of the truck. Put the front bumper on after fixing the side that was bent, wired up the winch, lightbar and airhorn and got the front ready for the fender flares. The rear flares are on backorder. I was unable to use them off the old truck because they were cracked pretty badly. Painted the area behind the flare as well since the factory flare mounts were starting to rust around the plastic clip. While cleaning the under carraige I found that s front power steering line and the rear load proportioning valve are too rusted and need replaced. Has anyone dealt with replacing the brake valve in the rear? Dealership wants $300. Also I'm guessing I need to extend the bracket that connects to this valve on the rear axle to compensate for the lift but I'm not sure how I want to yet any ideas are welcome!
