What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Yeah I guess I should move the bump back up to keep it steady.
It is a used hood so that may be a problem (did a conversion to this year). I think it has something to do with the latch not holding it tight enough.
I'll see if my latch is bolted too high and see if I can lower it a few cm to maybe hold it better

 

Anybody have a preference on towing shackles. The new warn ones look nice but I'm not sure they are worth a Ulysses S Grant each especially now that I have 4 spots for them.

PSA: If you don't carry a fire extinguisher, spend the $30 and pick one up. My truck caught fire yesterday while wheeling and thankfully I had one on hand. $30 could save your rig or someone else's from burning to the ground.

First I did this, Wheeler's 5 Pack, OME Nitrochargers.
Then I did this, Coxey Road-AppleValley to Holcomb Valley. Big Bear (So Cal)
Then I did this.

 

It all depends on placement and their planned use. I got the rugged ridge pods, and amber covers for them, because I wanted them as daytime driving lights. Essentially so I can be seen during the daytime rather than them helping me see at night. Tho, with the amber covers, it may help a tiny, tiny bit in foul weather, at night.

Without the covers, these are just barely on the edge of being obnoxious to other drivers. So for everyday use they are ok. I feel like a 40 watt pod would be too much for my purpose.

Unfortunately, there will be more road noise come though the back wall without those panels. I put in some sound deadener and it did cut that down.

 

Eh. Dtrl I justhave my marker lights on. Or mirror lights.
