I would really appreciate any additional info on this - could you share the equipment you have in terms of opener and the process to install? Looks very clean and something I'd love to 'mirror' your install in my own!
    Thanks in advance

Look into an Engel fridge freezer. I liked mine much more than the ARB it replaced. Should have kept it when I sold my FJ 60...

I just took the PCB out of the case and soldered a couple wires to it and connected those to the switch. Works great, looks good.
Sure. I took my regular remote that normally clips to the visor. I opened the case up like you would do to change the battery. I removed the circuit board and found the two solder points that close the circuit when the button is pushed. (They should be right behind the button) I did this by twisting two wires together on one end and touching the back side of the circuit board where the button is until I found the two that would open the door. Once I knew which two solder points worked, I soldered the wires to those connections. I then drilled out the blank that you see in the picture until it was the right size for the switch (button). I fitted the button into the blank and then connected the other end of the wires. (doesn't matter which way you connect them, it is just closing the circuit when you press the button) Once that was done, I pushed the circuit board through the opening where the blank goes and then fitted the blank in. That was it. Super easy. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures along the way, but I believe there is another thread where someone did take pictures as they did it. Good luck!!

I didn't notice before I ordered mine (due to lack of pics available at the time) that Toyota carves pretty heavily into the bed to mount the stock cover. I don't have a problem with it right now, but it's going to suck if this cover fails & I need/want to replace it with anything else. :S

I've read a lot here about the horn/howling noise when driving around the 60-80mph range, especially when there is a head wind.

My 2007 Tacoma did the exact same thing until i had to have some work done for massive hail damage repair They had to remove the windshield to do the work to fix the damage but after I got it back it never made the noise again.

In my opinion wind was getting into either a gap in the windshield seal or something along those lines but the seal was better after the work was done and windshield replaced. I don't know how the windshield wouldn't leak unless it was somehow shielded from moisture.

My new 2016 Tacoma doesn't make the sound (one the first things I tested) but I'm hoping my story helps shed some light.

Complete Kicker audio system (4 channel amp, mids and tweets in the front, 2 ways in the back, 2 10 inch comp rt subs, Zxsum8, alpine pdx 1.600 boxes and amp rack by Mr Marv), Pop & Lock, Mobtown locking bed storage doors, Bilstein 5100s, Katzkin Leather interior, Redline Hoodstruts, Backflip.
I started wiring up new mid and tweets for the fronts and 2 ways in the back. Tons of wires because I didn't want to cut any wires behind the deck to go to my digital signal processor so I ran an input and an output wire to each door all the way to the back where my amps will be mounted once I get my box from Mr Marv. The stock speakers are such crap.20160326_211657.jpg 20160326_210400.jpg 20160326_105300.jpg 20160326_084627.jpg 20160325_165721.jpg 20160325_165549.jpg 20160325_162806.jpg

Very nice. How were you able to get the Limited without the factory tonneau? Was it as special order?
