I do see why they didn't throw a caution on Saturday for Busch, they saw he cut a tire and had control of his car and was still in contention for the win, I would've made the same decision. Busch is a moron sometimes though and opens his mouth too wide without thinking. But I'm just arm chairing it. There's a lot more that goes on that we never see or understand.

Well as an employee, you can't go around bad mouthing your employer without penalty, it's been that way in NASCAR forever, as well as any place.

but what should you do when the leader sucks, leave it in the dark, or bring light to it? I say the fans needs to know, and nascar needs a new leader anyway...

Brian France isn't a hired hand wielding NASCAR. He OWNS it. He's not a GM or anything. Mike Helton is the hired goon. The only things that could do Brian France in are himself (his alleged coke addiction that I think he's backed off on) or his ex-wife (who has been hushed up with enough $$ and threats of lawsuits that she'll never open up again about the real Brian France).

95% chance I'm going to Martinsville next weekend. Anyone ever been? I hear seating is generally good from most anywhere above the bottom 14 rows.

I'm excited to add to my list of NASCAR tracks:

    Atlanta (25+ races)
    Darlington (5)
    Daytona (4)
    Talladega (3)
    Charlotte (2)

    Indycar:
    Barber (2)

    F1:
    Austin (1)

Yep, I like to sit at the entrance of a turn, seeing those cars hauling ass down the straight away and then nose dive in the turn side by side is fun to watch. But really not a bad place to sit in the place.

Thanks! I think we're going to sit up between turn 3 & 4 so we can see them coming & going, as well as looking down pit road. This video was pretty convincing:

We're doing this Super Stupid Style, leaving here at 5am, driving 5 hours north. Watching the race, then driving 5 (I hope) hours back. I have Monday off of work to recover, but my buddy doesn't have the same luxury.

I don't know which way you're coming from, but either way you'll be on US 58/220 to get to the speedway, don't take the exit GPS will take you too, there is an alternate route that will get you parked immediately. Turn onto Old Sand Road off 58/220 and follow the signs to the track, it'll park you on the turns 1 and 2 side, but it makes for quick entering/exiting.

also I may be there as well, luckily I only live an hour from the track so I can make last minute decisions based off weather and wife mood.

I sat at the very top across from pit road exit in '13. I could see all the way around, but didn't get to feel the vas going by. I got a two day $55 ticket last October. It was down lower, but half the cost of siting up top. The view was still good, but I couldn't see them in turn 3-4. Still, can't beat $55 for both races. I might go in October, take my little brother for his first race. I'm blending April with races, so I can't add any more. I'm doing the Birmingham Indycar race in late April. It's a good show. Three races on Sunday for $35.

We're taking 85 up, then hitting 220. My buddy has been a couple times, and he also mentioned Old Sand Road.

Totally. When I sat up top for $100 in '13, they'd actually messed up my ticket order & lost it. They upgraded me to a $140 ticket at no extra cost
