That's probably a big part of why you weren't seeing 20s when stock. From my house it takes me two hours to find a speed limit over 60, once I do there's a clear difference in economy. That's brick aerodynamics for you.

I find that if you pay too much attention to other's problems, it will influence your decision too much. I'd rather do real research from reputable sources and then make my decisions. I know dozens of people with '16 w/autos with absolutely no problems. You get a hand full of peeps from around the country with a small collective problem and now it's normal? I do not think so.

    ATTENTION TROLLS!

The OP is well aware of why the vehicle is underpowered and getting poor gas mileage.

The OP knows and understands the basic laws of aerodynamics.

The OP knows and understands the basic laws of power to weight ratio.

The OP knows and understands the basic laws of physics.

The OP never asked "why" his Tacoma feels underpowered.

The OP never asked "why" his gas mileage sucks.

The OP came here to seek sound advice on what can be done, if anything, to improve the power and gas mileage concern. That's all. If you're here to reiterate what the OP already knows, you're a TROLL! Go away! Adults are conversing here.

Some of you are very helpful. Thanks! The others are just trolls.

    Carry on...

80 Here too, so that's why I know the first drivetrain mod will be gears, and hopefully ARB has gotten off their butts and got the front lockers in my local grocer's freezer by then.

Then the OP and this post is a TROLL, since OP should already know that there is NOTHING he can do to increase mpg.

You already know how to add turbo, do it.

What else do you want to hear?

Speed limit of 80 is max, slow down.

Gears, intake, exhaust, increasing octane, fuel additives, power adders, etc. can all increase MPG and power. I came here to see what others have done.

Again, go away troll! You're not helping.

Hate to burst your bubble but I think myself and anyone else that are asking what he was expecting are the aforementioned trolls. You inadvertently x3'd the wrong sentiment.

I'm guessing this thread is done.

The OP is in need of gaskets now that he blew his.

Since I'm a troll, I could give a shit what happens here.

You obviously don't know anything about me. It takes much more than that to blow my gasket. :D

Only answer I have is to sit and wait while URD works on their supercharger for the 2GR-FKS. Last I know of they've yet to figure out the EMS. But if they do, I'm sure I'll be on the list to get it, unless I find a Mustang GT first then I probably won't care.

I have nothing to add OP, but I think you'll be happy with a re-gear. I would also like to come out and smoke some coyotes with my AR or .308. I smell a TW group hunting trip.

Now you're talking. A Tacoma World hunt sounds like my kind of fun. :quickdraw:

Any manual trans owners want to try some 3.90's? :D
