I currently am totally stock (09 Prerunner TRD offroad) but that is about to change. I have purchased the Toytec OEM 3" lift (bought the 5100's instead of the OEM shocks) and the boxes are sitting in my garage now. I'm really concerned that after I install the lift the my truck will wonder on the highway. The reason I'm concerned about this is due to other posts I have read saying that after lifting trucks they have a tendency to do that. I honestly think my truck wonders now and I can't imagine that lifting it will help. I wonder if its just my truck or if its just me thinking the truck is wondering. My last car was and Audi A4 and that dude was so planted on the highway that the truck seems to be all over the place by comparison.

I really dont want to spend the money on the UCA's if I don't need to but I also dont want to install the lift only to find i need the UCA's and end up having to pay to have the alignment done twice.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Spend the money on the UCAs now and you know you'll be okay- Or go to a place that has a life time alignment deal??

    LR?

Lifetime alignment warranty, that's a great idea!

I also plan to do tires and wheels, but haven't figured out what I'm doing there yet.

Yeah, those LR UCA's are going to help you steer better. I just installed mine not too long ago and it turns easier than OEM. I have a 3" lift and my truck doesn't wander that bad at all. You'll be fine on the highway. No worries.

Make sure the toe is correct. if you have toe out it will cause a vehicle to wander. Camber is not as large of a factor. the wandering could be the start of the infamous death wobble which is corrected with ucas

I really wanted to avoid getting the UCA's and put that money to my tires and wheels but I guess it's more important that the truck drive straight.

Now I just have to figure out what size of tires and wheels will fit without trimming...... I know....keep reading :D

Hey man, maybe he just has the TRD Confucius model. :D

If a truck gets lifted, and no one is around to see it, will it have vibes on the highway?

Also: I think I can, I think I can... I wonder if I'll make it. Stop doubting myself!
