Yeah Columbo was good for a laugh too.

Lt. Columbo: Who knows what goes on in the head of a dog?
Lt. Columbo: Let 'im go. No law against shooting a dead body.

Havn't seen that show in a while. Reading some of his quotes from here, lol

Morning all, got back from DFW last night, great to see my wife's family, but I hate the quick turn around trips, too stressful and not enough time to relax.

Welcome new Lloyd, I think my retirement number is down to 10. Depending on where my kid goes. I'm trying to convince him to let me home school him for college.

Old Lloyd, if you have to force it...something is wrong. Stop, and ask your pals at TW BEFORE you round the damn nut.:D

This angle will work for you. Grind flat all the way down and slot the very bottom if poss. Working slowly into the nut close to the threads. Take a chisel on the bottom edge rotating to loosen.
The only thing I could do more is do it myself. Hope this helps.

    Really? Really?

    Unbelievable!

Where else in this planet can you find someone extremely knowledgeable to actually go get his tools, go underneath a truck fender, and show by taking a clear picture, to a complete stranger, how to fix a problem caused by said complete stranger?
Only in the 50+ TW thread!!!

    Thanks so much Mike!

Believe it or not, I can't wait to take on this damn nut this weekend.

    Your welcome...
Not a problem. I was doing a spring recall so I just yanked the tire.
Slow and steady will get you there. All the meat is on the bottom.

You it's funny I can remember when I was the youngest guy in the office. I thought man those guys are old. Some of them fought in the tail end of W2. Now I am 5 years from retirement and I work with some 20 year olds. I hear their weekend stories... I don't mind my age at all :)

    Morning people's.
Still cold and damp here. Thought I would go fishing this weekend but still looks like it's
    Bad weather still hanging around.
Speaking of hanging around. Less than 30 days before I become an illegal 50.

    Packing up is gonna suck....
    Be safe all.....

Just shy of 16 months of "50-something" for me. 60 opens up a bunch more "senior discounts".....Our favorite pet supply store does it at 65....We spend as much there as we do at the grocery store...;)

Cool here today. 41 when I got up. Supposed to hit 54 by noon. I'll be sitting in on the board meeting by then. Word is it'll be VERY hot in there today. 5 months until club elections and a new President. I'm hearing the contentious debates are about to start regarding who is the NEXT to take charge. Always interesting....

OBTW, you're always welcome here, even after the 50's are in the rear view mirror......You'll just be 59+1.....

I am enjoying 50ish ;) and with 55 4 months away this "ride" just gets better....:rofl::rofl:

Listening to my younger Techs whine about LIFE, no $$ for food or rent BUT Dam they can put new exhaust, boost kits or BLING and think nothing of it ..

Or they cry about buying the very tools that will help them make their job into a career all the while listening to me talk about my tool purchases starting pre-marriage and that I still have them ..

Luckily those are small numbers once they realize the Dinosaur giving advice actually has his or her "ACT " together

Enjoy your Tuesday :) I know I will :hattip:

Wow.....I just finished orientation for a new employee. Someone who shows up on time, wants to work, has a great attitude, and doesn't like drama. Not sure how this is gonna work out?

That said, EVERY employee is the model employee on day 1. Let's wait for a couple weeks and see how things shake out..

    OK. Have a good'n!
