Firestone says caster can't be adjusted... please help *new question*

    Excuse for more lift!
    Seriously though what wheels are you running? Shitty offset to begin with?

    im on mk6's... 17x8 with 0 offset. 265/70/17 hankooks. These should fit and I shouldnt be having these problems. Im stuck here on what to do.

    i had to remove the little front flaps since they rubbed at full lock in reverse - driver side only... I'm running Cooper AT/3 in the same size but have more lift. Probably why I'm not touching the fender.

    Also running Method 17x8.5 zero offset wheels. Caster at around 2.6.

    Im at stock alignment now and positive caster is going to push me forward into the fender more. Im so confused how guys with sto k suspension are running these without these problems... Maybe i should post in the mk6 specific thread

    What scares me is if he is just adjusting camber, (or thinks he is) how the heck does he make camber adjustment even without thinking he has to watch for caster movement? With our systems, camber requires you move both the front AND rear LCA points the exact same amount. If you move one and not the other, you are affecting caster as well.

    That is what the manager said, tomorrow i am going to talk to the alignment tech and show him the truck to see if he is comfortable with doing it. If not, i will take it elsewhere. Problem is any more caster and its gonna be worse. Im not even sure where caster should be only lifted at. 85.

    In the pics you posted of the rubbing, it's been at nearly full turn. This is an indication that the culprit is the wheel offset, not caster. Your tire swings a wider arc with the new wheels and therefor you have rubbing. Trimming is your solution, not alignment. More lift will only solve the rubbing until you flex your suspension.     I was under the impression that they would fit with no rubbing from what others have said.

    Just dropped the truck off and the alignment guy said he was familiar with the caster adjustment on my truck. What caster should i ask for at. 85 up front with stick springs?

    2 - 2.5 degrees. Anything under and you'll experience bump steer

    My access cab is set at 1.75, but I got more lift. My caster won't go past 1.6 and I had quite a bit of road wandering with 265s and offset rims.
