maybe i posted in the wrong place lol i need a little help picking the rear shock. i recently purchased icon 2.0 shocks for the rear to save money but will they really overheat during moderate abuse and is it worth getting resi for the rear?

With moderate abuse I would say no. Thousand pounds of gear and desert exploration yes.

What does lbs. of gear have to do with anything? I thought the resi just helped with heat disipation.

If you can afford it, go for it. I think it adds a bit of longevity to them.
