It's year specific. Not too sure what years exactly, but they were for faulty cats.

Me too. I'm dreading it. I despise going to the stealership. I didn't even use Toyotacare for the free oil changes. Pus my day off is a weekday when everybody I know is working and I don't have anyone to drop me off or pick me up so that means I have to wait around for god knows how long.

How long did it take them? I wish they would just give me the new cat and let me do it.

For sure. Literally felt like the truck was running on 3 cylinders but without the misfiring lol. Like it still ran smooth but had no power at all. It was pretty bad lol. $250 later at the exhaust shop I had a new universal cat. Installed and got the 2nd cat removed and replaced with a straight pipe , the truck ran like a champ again.

After burning so much oil I can imagine that I will need to get new cats. The dealer said they would order it for me but I haven't heard. Might go press the issue with them...

Dang thanks for the info, I'm pretty sure this is my problem after hearing your story. My first o2 sensor is sending a lean signal constantly too so I think it's been just throwing gas into my cat and screwed it up worse after it initially failed. And my second o2 isn't reading hardly anything and is all over the place so it looks like a new cat will be ordered and a new rear o2 sensor. I'll update after some cutting and welding

An exhaust shop will just do a back pressure test to check the cats. Yes that's a real thing and will save you a lot of time and headache of tracking down the problem yourself if you suspect that they are clogged.

I highly recommend getting em checked out by a professional shop.

Odd question, any one know where I can buy just the intake tube for a CAI? One that has all the connections and a spot for the maf sensor?

Damn..you're a couple of weeks too late. I just offered mine to a local guy for free. I would've given it to you if you covered shipping. I'm going back to stock.

Are you looking to build and modify your own intake?

Yeah, was going to use it to simplify the process...mainly the MAF sensor. I might get a simple MAF sensor adapter instead though and then leave the majority of the stock intake. Looking at donaldson air cleaners and UMP.

Pretty sure I will be cutting into my cowl area for air and then run it into a much better filtration system such as donaldson air cleaner or UMP.

Lemme look around next weekend. I might still have the tube from my K&N CAI

Awesome. Not sure on the plan yet but I really am not a fan of the snorkle. Might just do a CAI with a Donaldson and pre-filter sleeve for a bit.

I was checking out race trucks and most of them run cai and filters in the open and seem to keep dust out of their engines.
