Take it apart. When you have the CV free of the hub, swing it up to horizontal and push it into the diff (may have to rotate it to get it to seat) Then reinstall it back into the hub without letting it droop all the way back down again.

So it's not ruined... That is great news. Thank you.

So do I need to remove it from the diff or can I leave it connected on that side?

You can leave it in the diff. It just popped out when it was dangling there.

Ok, thank you guys. I guess I've never had this type of results from installing a cv because I never had the entire suspension completely in pieces while installing one.

Makes me feel better knowing that I didn't ruin a good cv.

Ok, so I tried to seat the tulip like you said and am now about 90% sure that I screwed up the new CV axle. It won't seat. HELP!

Every time I lift it horizontally and get it to seat it still won't rotate freely all the way around. It still feels like it pushes itself out at about 3/4 turn.

I am completely stumped and have no clue what to do.

Found the problem. Took the cv apart and one of the roller bearing thingies had popped off the center stud thingy. I know I know, all these super technical terms...

I took a c clamp and pressed it back on. Let's hope that works.

Here is a picture to help.

    Thanks again @allmotorrex

Now all I need is a cv band clamp tool to seal it back up and maybe a new band. We will see if I can reuse this one.

Just have to get the cv boot rebanded. Gonna try to take it by a shop sometime and see if I can find someone willing to band it. Then I can put it all back together and be done with the driver side.

Hahaha you don't feel that bad or you wouldn't have called in the first place. And as I said, if I didn't want to talk to you I wouldn't have answered the phone.

Also got the cv boot reclamped and then put it back in the truck. Put everything thing else on and was tightening the lugs up on the wheel when I tried to spin it and it made a horrible screeching sound. I was on the verge of either cussing or crying. Only reason I didn't do either is because I didn't know which one to start with.

Calmed back down and then looked at the back of the wheel. Sure enough, I needed to trim some on the gusset so it would clear the wheel.

Threw some paint on the section after it was clearance enough and put the wheel back on. Gave it a spin and everything rolled smoothly.

So the driver side is officially done! New spindle with gusset, new hub assembly, new CV axle, new ebc rotor and pads, cleaned and greased the uca, took the coilovers out and cleaned it up, cleaned all the old cv axle grease from pretty much everywhere in the wheel well, and hammered the pinch weld flat.

At some point I will take the wheel back off and do an aggressive CMC. Then coat the inner fender with bedliner and rubberized undercoating. That is after I do the spindle, hub, brakes, and service the uca on the passenger side.

Are the Sequoia wheels on yet?
Did you leave the dust shield off the spindles?

No and no. Only had to shave a tiny bit to fit the dust shield and no tars for the sequoia wheels. Have to sell the old wheels and tires first to fund the 34s
