Are those lights functional or just decorative?

Installed my SPOD for all the lighting, air compressor and other future electrical installs. Very neat and tidy, no splicing factory wiring. Switch panel went into overhead console where the sunglass compartment resided.

Good to know the boot doesn't need to be cut.

I'm planning on running an head unit outputs to lc7i then to a 5 channel amp. Amp outputs/speaker wire to the the speakers

I'm going to share a secret. Amazon's prices fluctuate. Throw it in your cart and then click "save for later". Amazon will then notify you of price fluctuations. I do that for everything that I want. When the mat dropped I immediately bought it. I have noticed it occurs sometimes by the number in stock or if they are using a third party supplier but still ship it out of their own warehouse. @sadmrhappy mentioned Mac over PC, I only have Apple and I see the fluctuations but I am unable to compare so I can't speak to that. I would just be patient and see if the prices drop. If they don't (or if you are impatient) go to ebay.

strictly decorative. The light bar on the grill will take care of any functional lighting. These are just for fun.

I thought it was a scoop joke. For a year I've been hearing (seeing?) people ask if the hood scoop itself was functional or decorative.

    It's funny. I laughed.

Not much to it really, remove hood scoop, the lights have self adhesive strip that goes on the back of the plastic scoop inner housing, drill small hole in that plastic inner housing for the wires and hook up as you see fit. Not practical for any functional lighting, just for decorative use and adding to the vehicles 'Fun factor'.

Do you agree that it should've came that way from the factory? I left a little chrome on mine with the bezel, but it is just soooo much chrome. I'm not hating on the grill. I like the direction that they took over 2015, it's just odd that they made every other entry of the Tacoma line-up have a black grill but then threw on a bang load of chrome on the TRD models. Even the TRD Pro has a different beak.
