    I have my 2.85 pulley I took off if any one is interested. It came off with no damage. $75

    fuel cell has been in for awhile. I have a 32g Jaz cell mounted directly behind the cab retrofitted with the OEM pump assembly. This was before we ran the fuel lines and venting

    Put a dab of thread locker on the new pulley today, looks pretty factory to me. Washed and waxed while I was at it.

    Got my pulley today! So I'm reading the instructions. Did the rest of you have the engine cold before installing? I was going to drive to my buddy's house so he could assist.

    Also, install institutions reference a 8x1.25x20mm I got the install kit and I don't see this item.

    Cold engine, hot pulley. Make it easy on yourself. It's really only a 1 person job anyway

    Yep cold SC. Use a 3 jaw puller.
    Then heat up the new pulley. I toss the pulley in the oven for 10min at 350. Pulley goes right on in a matter of min.
    When I pulled the 2.85 off, I put a bolt in the end of the SC and used my drill to spin the SC and used my mapp gas torch and spun the SC. The heat into the pulley makes it Came off really easy and did not bend the pulley like I see a lot of people do.

    It's a hard 1 person job, but a retardedly easy 2 person job. By yourself you need 3 hands to hold the pulley and get the tool in place and then grab wrenches to hold everything. With 2 people it takes about 1 minutes from oven to done.

    Pulling the stock pulley off was zero issues as well, just used a 3 jaw pulley puller and steady force. The initial pop off is the hardest, after that they all just slide right off. The key is to make sure your puller is centered perfectly otherwise you get uneven force on the pulley and bend/break it.

    Installing the tool on the shaft first is easier. There were a lot of comments about people letting the pulley get too cool while fumbling with the press tool. Make sure to lube the threads of the tool, too.

    I found that having one person hold the pulley in place at the shaft with a strap wrench, and then holding a wrench to hold the tool in place once its installed was way easier. With another guy holding the pulley it was way easy to just thread the tool in place and have the nut already ready to start pushing. Fumbling is what happens when you don't practice first and people don't know their job. @12TRDTacoma and I ran over what we needed to do and practiced for all of 2 minutes on what to do and who was doing what. Then we installed 2.85 pulleys on both of our trucks. Took maybe an hour tops and that was with 20 minutes of oven time each and then sitting around shooting the shit in between lol.

    What about the 8x1.25x20mm socket headed cap screw referenced in step 3? Is that the small screw in the top of the package? I wouldn't have called that "socket headed", but I'm sure I don't know the right word.
