If space is a concern, I'd go full size. If I knew what what I do now about my future needs, I would have went full size hands down. I was strongly considering a Silverado before my Tacoma. I came from a '11 to my '16 and the size is pretty much the same. If anything, the '16 has a few more inches going from door to door as they "designed the door panels and seats to allow more room." Take that for what you want and it could be bogus, just what I remember reading somewhere when I was looking. Nothing wrong with my choice I made in all seriousness, I just would have went with full size for the room. If you're looking to stay in mid size, I'd check out the GMC version of the twins. It looks more modern and adult like. The Chevy version seems like something a high school kid would drive......and I'm going on 27 so I'm still young but still saying that.

I was a Chevy pickup man for 4 decades. With a handful of Fords and Toyota's in the mix.

I just got my 1st ever Ram pickup. So far I'm real impressed. Don't sell Ram (Dodge) short. The quality and features offered has greatly changed for the better since FCA.

Before the haters start hating. I actually owned one years ago and it was as great vehicle. Sold it to a friend who has over 150k on it with zero issues.

Ditto,,I would also give the new Ridgeline a ride. I like the idea of a pickup truck bed with an SUV ride.

I've had 2 friends with Ridgeline. Both ride nice.

The reason is coil rear springs. It's also why Tahoe and Esclade ride so nice. AND...The Ram truck also has multi link coil rear. And the ride is AWESOME!!!

I'm sure it's a fine vehicle, but most truck owners want or need a real truck. Because of this, the Ridgeline will remain a fairly niche vehicle... despite it being reliable. I lean the opposite: I want a new small, body on frame truck with a transfer case. Simple, rugged, reliable, and fairly inexpensive.

I've been waiting to see what Nissan had in store for the Frontier. Since Toyota came out with a redesign first, the looks grew on me and liked the new features, so I went that route. Other than that, the Frontier would be the only other truck I'd consider.

Considered the new F-150, but a mid-size suits my needs just fine and the price w/options just helped my decision even more.

I checked out the new Colorado when it first hit the dealerships and didn't like it. Sat inside and didn't like the interior or the storage compartments. It felt cramped in the driver's seat compared to my '12 Frontier I had at the time, and I'm not a big guy either. Looking at the bed, I felt the same, didn't look like it could hold up much and IDR if they have a rail system option like the Taco or Fronty. Sales rep told me there wasn't a long bed option (maybe because all their trucks were short bed), which I thought was BS but I didn't bother to research afterwards because I ruled it out after sitting in it.

The current Frontier would've been the same truck I already had, except more or different options and a sliding rear window. I went to check those out and it wasn't worth the swap. Some things I do miss though: the extra storage above the glove box with the iPod connector, passenger and driver door side storage (don't no why that section is blocked off on the Taco), the metal bed, the utilitrac system, and the design of the bed extender (because it utilizes the rails). Oh and most importantly, it was in it's third year in production (or even consider it 7th year) so there were no quirks; it was a solid truck, engine was smooth and had great power delivery, and the transmission was smooth.

Depends on what you will use it for. I read where the front approach angle on the new Colorado was equal to a car. Low front bumper and all. I have not seen one, just read that. The concept Colorado was cool looking, but if I hadn't bought a new Taco last year, I would have opted for a used Tundra. My son bought a used 2010 F-150 Lariat and that thing is really nice to ride in. He doesn't take it on serious off roading, just hunting. Dirt roads with mild mud and stuff are just fine in it. No lift. Nice truck all around. I drove a 2015 F-150 with the 2.7 Eco boost engine and it is really strong, but hearing a lot of problems with fouling in those new engines. Might opt for the 5 liter V8 in it. Those are all I've driven. Best of luck in your search.

A lot of people are waiting for the Tundra to be updated. I wouldn't consider one right now.

True, knowing toyota it will probably be a while before we see an update. It's hard to consider buying something other than a tacoma...hopefully with all the competition in the midsize market it will just make everyone improve their product.

There is still a wrangler pickup that will be coming out within next couple years and updated frontier.

I've got nothing but time...best thing to do is weigh all options once everything is out. Still got plenty of life in my jeep. Looking forward to reviews on the trd pro.

If I needed a full size I'd get a 06-13 Silverado. The problem is I'd want to lower it. Love that generation lowered.

I'm not gonna lie, that's a good looking truck. Out of the big 3, chevy would be my pick.

Is that an LT z71 trim?
