That game pretty much summed up their season this year. Lots of talent, but with some shoddy defence and the fact they just cant play 60 minutes of solid hockey.

I agree with this statement. I hope anyone gets the first....over the Oilers. In fact....no matter where the Oilers end up - I hope they trade their first round pick. I don't want them to have anything to do with day 1 of the draft. It could be the start of crawling out of being the least respected team in the NHL.

 

Toronto should get the 1st round pick... just saying.

I mean after all last year the math worked out that after the balls were randomly eliminated, it's not a straight out draw for first, Toronto had the best odds and still didn't win. I'm hoping for some karma this year.

Another option for them would be to trade down a few places in the draft and tak Nylander's brother and another player on the first day. I'd be very okay with that plan.

 

Couldn't tell ya why. He has shown brief flashes of brilliance over the years, but they are too few and far between. He is a career slightly less than average goalie. I will be happy to see him supplanted, likely next year.
