    Hi folks:

Just purchased a 2010 Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab SR5 (2.7L/5 sp) and I would like to install an outdoor thermometer, with compass would be fine. I'm in the Northeast and black ice season is upon us. Has anyone done this? Can you recommend a model and, especially, where in the firewall is there an opening that I can pass the temperature sensor wire through without having to make a hole. Thank you.

I use an accurite $10 wireless unit from walmart.
I velcro'd the sending unit inside one of the storage bins in the bed & the read out up in the garage door holder near the courtsey lights so I can check it at night.
    It works great.
