What I did with mine was put the truck on jack stands, compress lca with a lift jack, take the top nut of the coilover, loosen lca and lower the jack. Coil will be fully decompressed and you can adjust the collar by hand. Quicker than removing it.

I have a snap-on compressor that clamps on each side of the spring. It can be used while the coilover is still in the truck. Used it on my Jeep several times. I will not agree with anyone that you have to remove the coilovers to adjust them.

There is a video of this on YouTube. Easy to do.

A lot of people don't have that. You have to like rental them or take them to a shop

Agree that you should not need to remove a coilover to be able to adjust it, but for this shock in particular it seems the safest way would be to compress or fully decompress the coil, since the new collar would not work with a spanner wrench. Personally I wouldn't dare to loosen the allen screw and attempt to do it by hand with it mounted, loosen it too much and that could be a bad accident.

Do you have a model number for the snap-on compressor, I've been looking mostly at wall mounted compressor, but that sounds better if it can work on the Taco.

I have used this more times than I can count. Very dangerous, must use safety clamps, use a impact wrench to tighten and loosen, has never slipped off, but if it does and your not using the safety clamps, it's a fast trip to the emergency room to have it removed from you chest. Just be careful and go slow. Good luck. I still really don't understand why FOX would change the 2.0 adjusters. Look at the many pics I have posted, you can see where I have cranked them up. Good luck and be safe.

This is my 3rd set of coil overs (1st for a Tacoma) and this is the first time I will have to use a compressor or send it in to have them adjusted. The reason I buy coil overs is so I can adjust with just a simple spanner wrench. Dang, wish I knew before I bought these Fox 2.0's.

Finally got it all settled. My mechanic could not get the spring compressed with the coilover on the truck. Had to take them off and put them in his compressor and used huge channel locks to turn the collar. What a pita!!! Fox!!! Why the hell did you make these like that??? At least come out with a spanner for it.
Alignment all done. Caster was way off. Camber adjusted.

Thanks to all for sharing their experiences with the Fox 2.0 setup. Good to know about the adjust-ability, or lack there of. I started to contemplate these as I am looking for a 2" lift in front, but will be going a different route now.

I also wanted to protect the shocks and picked up a pair of the roosts. They don't fit for tacos! You may be able to get the drivers side in, but the passenger is too tight of a fit. There is no way to screw them in as the mounting area is almost touching the axle. sucks.

I was all set to go with the Fox 2.0s for my 13 DCLB. After reading this thread, Fox is out for the lack of being able to adjust on the fly. My 06 DCSB had Toytec Ultimates and were a snap to adjust with a spanner wrench by only removing the wheel. Very disappointing that a company with a reputation like Fox has would offer such an incomplete kit when almost ALL of their competitors have a superior adjustment setup.
