Auxiliary Reverse Lights

Not complicated just take your time and follow your diagram, it'll work. There's a couple ways to grab the required power and reverse signal.

BTW, I have my Wurton's (only 2) and I"m going to use them for bed lights. Did you ever figure out what the yellow and blue wires were for?

 

woot i figured it out. No i did not figure out the other two wires. Some one mention maybe it is for flashing and strobe. When i back up i get the stock reverse lights and led lights

 

I like it. What lights did you go with? They were already mounted in the bumper, right? You should drive around with all those pods lit.

 

Yea they are the wurton's. I would go with something else for reverse lights, they don't put a direct light out more of flood. Yes they are mounted to the bumper. I will take a night shot tonight.

 

I was liking the results of these add on lights - and not liking the ability to knock them off. Not too interested in putting them into the bumper tho... so armor applied to bracket. Not rock proof but some better than the stuff they came with. Kawell advertises that the LED's for this lamp come from Cree - beam spread is 30º.

I believe that with the tecnology changing so fast with LEDs, lenses, etc... it's better to buy a cheaper chinese one than a rigid... either way you may be changing it in maybe 1.5 years...

that's my opinion... I have bought in Amazon all my lights from KAWELL and they haven't had any humidity issues, they are pretty bright and 90% cheaper than rigid...

Had the same problem. Installed a couple motion floodlights in driveway and the need went away.

Hey brother I bought the same set up you have and I am going to tap into my reverse lights to have them kick on, but was wondering was you used to cut out the holes in the bumper?

So my aux back up light is somehow interfering with my back up camera. It's not a stock camera, it's one I installed myself. But as soon as I turn the light on, the camera cuts out. Screen says "signal lost." Anyone have any idea what the heck would make this happen? They're not wired to anything the same. The ground's are technically both on the metal behind the taillights, but other than that, there is no shared connection.

 

I run into the problem with the LED light bar I installed interferes with my radio...(makes it static) not the same problem but I learned to deal with it, but my issue is the wires are ran through the firewall on top of one another and the current through the LED is interfereing. I would check where you AUX lighting and camera wires are ran. might have to rewire/rerun.

I figured out the problem. The grounds were too close. I had tried moving the ground further apart earlier, but I guess I just didn't take it far enough. I finally grounded the light in the engine bay and everything works perfectly now.

Running some off brand flush mount LED's, can't remember the brand. But here is mine.........
