Cleaned skidplate and put it back on after finishing front dif oil. Oil looked like normal first 20k of wearing in. Skid looks like it got some good hits.
 for BAMF 1/4 inch plate.

lift first, to handle the weight and give me clearance. then skids!
but the infamous "what lift do I get" question is killing me right now...

I've read that fox's can rust easier than the other big two (and I'm in ohio), plus I'm thinking I'd rather have the progressive ride of kings... so I'm stuck between forking out the cash for kings, or going with some bilstein 6112's or something like that... cheaper means I don't have to wait as long to save up and can get skids sooner, but then again, I've heard a lot of "I wish I would have just spent the money to begin with..."

I think for now I'm just waiting around for the king group buy to see how much $$ I'm looking at...

Edit: took a closer look at the fox group buy... if i get the shocks with the discount and buy an add a leaf or leaf pack and UCA's somewhere else i only save $5 by using the GB

Great thing about having a white taco is that the scratches are a lot harder to see. I have a couple but it have to get real close to see them.

I'd go fox. I have fox on all 4 corners and love them. @allmotorrex is a huge fox advocate too.

Edit: iirc fox is also progressive, icons are digressive

Progressive springs or progressive valves? Two different things but also both plausible.

Looks like King uses progressive rate springs. No spring detail from others.

shock shaft speeds, not speedometer, clarification for those that don't know
and essentially, yes. digressive are stiff at lower speeds, get soft in the middle and stiffen up again at higher shaft speeds. progressive is more predictable and (OPINION ALERT!) rides better. a lot of people like digressive because its stiffer on the road and rides more like a car would... my Tacoma is not a car. (end opinion)
