So I changed my uca's and waiting on coilovers to arrive Wednesday. Everything went great except rear bolt driver side sway bar. Looks like the nut inside the frame came loose and is spinning. I know I'm going to have to cut bolt off but I'm trying to figure out how to to reinstall nut in frame? Anyone one every run into this and any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I don't wanna remove the sway bar. Thx

I just ran into this a few weeks ago changing my sway bar bushing, the bolt stripped out when i was reinstalling it. What i ended up doing (and is more of a last resort kind of deal) is i took the damage bolt out, grabbed my tap and die kit and tapped it out to a 7/16 bolt. Installed the new standard bolt and no problems, except if i ever remove it again I have one bolt that's a different size. But the chances are, no matter what you do to repair it, you'll probably have to at least drop the sway bar down. You could also try to get a pry bar in there and hold down pressure on the nut, sometimes you can put just enough pressure on it for it to grab into the frame allowing you to spin the bolt out.

Didn't work...weld broke so nut was just spinning. Cut bolt off so now I will have to figure something else out?

I would just drill the hole in the frame out larger and then weld in a flanged nut flush with the frame

basically a threaded female rivet. Requires a special tool to set them, or some skill with alternate methods. lol
Most Rivnut's are pretty small though.

With coilovers the front will be stiff enough. I like my sway bar off.

Yeah i have 6112 up front and the spring is pretty stiff on its own, my truck has some bro lean so not all the weight is onnthe coilover as intended. Feels great with no sway bar.

Try driving without the swaybar for a while. I took mine off and will never go back!
