Grille badge

That specific badge was made by Toyota for a Tundra that they brought to SEMA in 2009.



I've seen a thick, but flat oval with the Katakana on it that someone had replaced their 2nd gen Tacoma badge with that looked awesome and all I remember is that he said he bought it online. I remember seeing them in web searches but never followed through.

So I know I said I wanted different than the standard trd emblem from eBay, however the main reason I wanted different is because I painted my front emblem grey. I finally just color matched an eBay trd emblem and I think it's a good look. Let me know what you think!

Now I want one of those TEQ badges.

 

Seems like there could be a market for the TEQ Grille badges if one of the vendors/fabricators had the equipment to turn them out...kinda like the classic Toyota Trucks "T" badges...

 

The guy in the first link is making them. It's a round one though, and he has an oval plate that it sits on. I don't think it looks right mounted that way. It definitely doesn't look like it's supposed to be there. I'm on the list for a @HomerTaco grill, so I may get that one for that grill. The oval still looks better though.

 

Yeah, I'm hoping someone can machine ones out of Aluminum like the SEMA Tundra had. More then likely be pretty darn expensive, though!

I suppose you could machine a flat one, and get custom printed lettering for it...

I used the dremel and made a spot for the V6 badge that was originally on the tailgate. Looks good IMO
