Same, 2 months. I'm looking on CL for a decent plasma. Using a cut of wheel for that size of a project would be a lot of extra effort.

That's why you have four or five grinders ready to go, at least I do. I hate changing out the wheel for every task, so I have a grinder dedicated to each wheel style.

Haha well currently I only have one dedicated grinder so I'll definitely have to invest in a plasma.

I see em from time to time at the local yards. I'll keep an eye out for ya, do you want just a box or the tubing too?

I don't understand why people do this to 1st gens. It caught on after 2nd gens where required to do it. But they have low hanging asses. We do not. If you trim the bedsides up then you're not gaining hardly anything. The frame is right there and so are the shackles. You'd drag those most likely before hitting the bedsides.

plus i think it looks terrible on our trucks.

but to each and to their own..

Good luck! It takes WAY more time and effort then i thought it would haha but was fun.

Yeah, it's probably an acquired taste. I like the look and functionality after seeing it on @capturecolorado truck. I've already drug the rear sides, bumper, and shackles a couple times. The less sheet metal making contact with obstacles the better (within reason).

You make a good point, but I'm not sure if it jives with my eventual plans for the truck. All bets were off after mocking up 37s next to the truck last summer. Now I just have to account for that whole money thing. Not saying I want 37s either, just that I don't mind cutting to get it where I want, not married to the look of these trucks. Sorta want to end up like the guy with an extra cab on a single can frame with the mini bed.

Why do we do any of this stuff? For fun and experience.

Not good enough for me haha

For people that blow up big plans to totally cut up a perfectly good truck, unless you know why. It's pointless to me.

You're almost at the stage with your own rig where it will be the most versatile and most fun.

Once you dive off the deep end, there is no going back in terms of putting it back to stock. And you'll miss it. I hate Frank most the time because he breaks all the time because I drive him so hard because all the mods I've drone allow me too.

The best point in my build was before shit got crazy. He was still a truck but also an offroad machine. Now. Just an offroad machine. Barely gets driven.

Something to think about. Sometimes it's best to just enjoy it man. No need to cut shit up

I should mention that the larger plans are for the distant future and I'm sure you know how all that can change over time. I personally find the truck fun to drive but it's a chore too, I don't want it as a daily for much longer. But I totally understand what you mean, sad to think of Frank sitting in Wyoming without even a battery tender to keep him warm. I'll never go to the point where it isn't drivable on the street. These are far off plans for sure. Hopefully my career will allow me to have many more wheeling vehicles to cut on.

I have a stock intake tube with the resonators and silencers on it if you want it. I switched it for an Airaid tube

Not sure what I'll need. I'd assume the entire setup :notsure:
