Yup. Shit tons. And my computer seems to be broken, preventing me from getting them off the camera.

 

Who did you go with? Was there snow up there? You make it pass the 1st rut?

This is the Surprise Lake in Carbonado?

 

All by myself, that's why I gave up do easy. Yup, snow. Not too much right on the trail, but further up the main road it got deep.

From what I've read where I stopped is right at the first rut that you're talking about. It's the first time I'd been there, so not familiar with these trail. It was a section where the trail follows the creek. The of camber part killed me, truck was just trying to slide of the trail sideways, and I didn't want to spend all day myself around.

 

Next time let me know. I live .5hr away and I been going there since 08 in my 80 series Landcruiser and in my 98 4runner. I wanted to make a run there with you all,but the trail gives alot of pin stripes.

 

Pm me your number, I'll look you up next time. The problem is that my work schedule is extremely unpredictable, and so my wheeling tends to be too. I literally took a right instead of a left when I left work at 7a.m. yesterday.

 

Exhaust reroute scheduled for 1500hrs. I'll try to get some pics of the finished job. Should be simular the those posted but oem hangers utilized and possibly a hanger added.
Update: Now completed. I need to get a better picture, but here it is. It will do the job!

 

How are you doing @utroda?

 

Check with @Greddy he has to notch out a little of the rear skid to clear the exhaust last I heard.

I had the skid plate at the shop and it was used to verify clearance of the reroute. The test fit upon completion looked good, but I will know for sure when I bolt it in place.

 

Oh you actually got yours done? Kinda sounded like you just scheduled it and used one of our pictures looks good! Go back to the same guy we did?

 

Good man, just working and trying to build the truck had a set back so its going a bit slow, but I hope its up and running by the end of April.

Sorry. Tried to just update the post to keep the thread clean. Didn't work, ha!

 

Like a fool, I chose to paint my aluminum Pelfreybilt skid plates instead of powder coat or leaving bare. Sanding, cleaning with mineral spirits, applying self etching primer, and finally applying the matte black top coat. I think I'm high as fxxx on paint fumes! lol.
Chose to paint as I felt random touch ups would be easier. We will see how it turns out.
On another note, HeliMedic is taking all of my residual green! Should have the dual battery setup and compressor installed by the end of April.

My bank account needs to recover but let me ask you all this:

What should I do next;
Suspension? Looking at OME BP-51 with Dakar leafs when available for the Tacoma.
Or,
ARB air lockers?

Well lockers make up for lack of suspension travel lol
But then suspension travel is fun and let's you do more without a locker.
One is like $1100 the other will be like $2000.
That's my input I guess...

 

Unfortunately the Bp-51 and Dakar will be about $3300 uninstalled.
I miss my lockers I had on my 80 series. But that was a beast and the Tacoma will never quite match that.

 

I'm putting a group together for Thursday, already have a few people from work. Greenwater or Evans creek area. Maybe surprise lake if we feel ambitious. Pew pew also. Everyone is invited.

 

On board air mounted, wired, plumbed, tested..... . Nice way to spend the day off

 

I'm thinking about a little Eastern WA adventure this weekend, on account of the warm weather. Anybody interested in that?

 

I'd be down if I didn't have to work Saturday
