I do hope. It would be really interesting to know what kind of tolerances can so off as to cause this to happen on some trucks.

I'd like to pull the trigger on Tacoma but I won't until there is a resolution to this problem. I know, I know, small percentage of trucks is affected, but knowing my luck mine will be.

After a full evaluation at Toyota, could not find anything. I need to find if there is a pattern to what I'm feeling, then let them know, in the mean time, i reduced the tire pressure to 29 PSI cold

I've been following this thread since recently and it's very concerning. I just put in my $500 deposit on a 2016 taco two weeks ago and now seriously considering retracting my order. Have any of you done this because of this issue and if so how do you get your deposit back?

For me the buzz is very slight and not an issue, but I can understand it may irritate some folks. I did not notice it on the test drives I took, but if I had it would not have caused me to look elsewhere.

You should be able to get the deposit back as the dealer knows all V6 engines are affected with this issue. The dealers know they have it at delivery or know it will develop 1000s' of miles down the road. Since the general public is not aware of the issue and the trucks are hot the dealer should have no problem giving it back. Last fall one dealer wanted a $3000 "non refundable deposit." The dealer I work with did not require one. Is there any language in your contract about refunds? If the dealer refuses to give you the $500 back - print this thread and ask to speak with a senior manager at the dealership. I figured with 900 trucks built a day, I would get a problem free truck. I was wrong and I will always regret it.

The issue for many is getting the dealer to admit there's an issue. Many just
say "it's normal, no issue found" and that's that....myself included.

Understood--I went thru that too--until I started driving trucks with 4 miles on them without the issue--and then asked for an explanation; which they could not explain. I consulted with owners / engineers / master techs all over the county who were reporting similar findings.

:) Sounds about right. I never noticed on the test drive, which I'm sure was not
long enough. But I'll be glad when we find something out, that vibe is a bitch.

I just spoke with Toyota Customer Care again and nothing groundbreaking. However to note, the rep confirmed that Toyota has acknowledged the issue and explained that they're in the "data collection" phase where they're still gathering all the complaints on this issue (but no decision on whether to engineer a fix). I'm assuming this is just speak for "if we get enough complaints and its widespread...we'll do something". He said the next step would be to the effect of corporate, analyzing and engineering a TSB or service campaign.

Who knows if anything of significance is going to occur on this issue but the rep stressed that everyone needs to call in, if you're having this issue. It's the only way Toyota will put any effort into resolving this. I know this thread has picked up steam as of recent, but wanted to remind everyone experiencing the vibration that they need to call in to report this. An e-mail in order to have confirmation, is not a bad idea too.

I know this doesn't provide any more hope but just wanted to ensure we're exhausting all avenues to get this joke of an issue fixed. I drove Hiluxes in the 'Stan while deployed and it sure didn't feel like my $40k '16 Limited.

Hard to believe that since October 25, 2015 when Doobiewah [OP] posted. this issue has been affecting so many Tacoma owners. Yes the truck has the problems however; it is the owners and their families who have put forth their time, energy and patience. I have never owned a new vehicle since I started driving when I was sixteen. Now, fifty-two years later I have an appointment March 30th to place an order on a 2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road. Oh, I’ll keep the appointment, listen to the individual I plan to talk with however, after reading all the posts, hearing all the trials and attempts at ameliorating this problem, they would have to dangle a significant carrot in order for me to move in the direction of an order. I plan to call Toyota Corporate this morning and share this “buyer’s decision” with them and ask them if this is a “normal response” prior to a less than likely purchase. Just as it is difficult to track specific problems on a vehicle it is also difficult to track lost sales. Perhaps Toyota should be more responsive in doing both. I do hope for a more timely resolution for all those affected.

I bought a 4WD TRD double cab (top of the line) in January 2016. I also have had the same kind of vibration in the accelerator pedal, and it is very annoying. I've never experienced vibration in the pedal in any other vehicle in all my 55 years. I love the vehicle, except for this vibration. I sure hope Toyota finds a way to correct this.

I too am suffering from the vibration in the gas pedal and steering wheel. Had an appointment today for the dealer to check it out...they test drove mine and then compared it to a new truck on the lot. They said it was similar on both trucks so it was "normal". I was adamant that they check the ATF level as I believe it could be the culprit of the vibrations (and rough downshifting while braking, and lag when changing from R to D). They agreed to check it. It was "a little low" so they topped it off and reset my computer...I think the truck is re-learning my driving habits all over again so it's tough to say if anything is fixed or better yet. The service rep at the dealer said this was the first they have ever heard of the issue (in my area) but he seemed interested in the issue and genuinely seemed like he cared and they wanted to help. He did say that the best thing to do would be for as many people as possible to take in the trucks to dealerships, get the issues recorded as that's the only way that Toyota hears about the issues and gets to correcting them. I think it's important for anyone experiencing these issues to either call Toyota and open a case or take it to your dealership (or both like me!). I honestly think that something is going to be done to correct these issues but it's just a matter of time. I still love the truck regardless.

I, too, thought this, until I got the letter from Toyota Legal that I note several posts up in this thread. I have tried to follow up and have only been told: "The truck operates as designed. There is nothing else we can tell you." I'm getting near the end of my personal rope on this one... Now that it is warming up, the vibes seem more noticeable than they were in winter. Even just driving around town, they are getting distracting and annoying. I'm just hoping that my trade-in on this truck won't tank too much at this point.....

doobiewah: This is quite discouraging..I just pulled the trigger on my TRDDCSB OR M/T yesterday dispite these vibration issues which I relayed to the delaership as a (big) concern (copying them in on these threads) before I purchse the truck, thinking a simple Toyota TSB solution was in order....they said they are monnitor this tread and will let me know if Toyota does issue a TSB addressing the issue...plus the usual: so far "we havn't had any complaints" about this issue from any of the other truck owners....and: We can't do anything to address the issue unless Toyota tells us too.... In my case the vibration issue seems very mild at best...at least for now...my wife will be taking it out today, we'll see if she notices it or not..."if she does"...its goingto be a "NASA we have a Problem issue" :argue: :crapstorm:

You bought a truck from the lot that already had symptoms of the issue? :goingcrazy: You are putting a lot of faith in Toyota.

Mat: Overall it's a great running and looking truck...I like it....and as mentioned, in my case the vibration or resonenace issue seems mild at best...or maybe I'm just looking for it after reading all these threads? :)...not sure...am I going crazy? hopefully not just yet...do I have faith that Toyota will fixed the problem at some point, yes, if enough owners make it an issue and complain..on the other hand, we do have a lot of "brilliaint "readers in the forum, so if Toyota can't figuer it out, I'm sure they will..

What was the build date on your truck? Mine is supposed to be delivered this weekend. Between this, the diff issue, and the stuck clutch, I'm having a really hard time actually pulling the trigger. WTF Toyota, get it together!

I'm in the same boat, I really don't want to lose my deposit because of the potential for all these issues.

You might be able to get the deposit back if you show them all the threads here, maybe. I'm hoping I can get out of the deposit if I decide to switch to a 4Runner instead.
