Just saw something on the news recently that insurance premiums keep going up because of the costs associated with no helmet crashes in Florida. Not sure how accurate it was, after the media got hold of it. I wonder how it impacts New Hampshire? I'll take my chances with deer vs. riding down here.

Sad. :( I lost a high school friend years ago in a m/c accident. I picked up a Bell vintage open face helmet. Not the same protection as a full face, but with the heat I know I'll wear it.

my friends always ask me if I like my face.. when i was wearing a half or 3/4 helmet. Because if I fell, it would be torn off. That stuck with me mostly, and now Id rather be sweaty and hot and protected. I wear my perforated leather jacket, jeans, and full face helmet in the humid summers of VA. And plus, I love the hot weather. Ill eventually move to AZ

My full face was being stored at my folks in NY, and it disappeared. I'm hoping it turns up. My buddy let me borrow his while I was there. I hate the heat. Winters are nice though.

Wish it was for me! Looks like a ton of fun. And not to mention how much you learn and get more experience from stuff like that. Makes me can't wait to hop on my new bike!

I wish they would just make helmets a requirement. I honestly don't see how anyone could be against it. I realize it can get uncomfortable, but why can't we live with being a little uncomftable rather than dead???

It's easy driving after you get past Pittsburgh and Ohio (ridiculous speeding enforcement) but crossing the plains does suck monkey.

But let me know if you are coming out and we can ride for a few days; beyond that I can write up a whole Colorado tour for dirt biking with base camps or a full drit biking route (not all dirt on the route though), and street riding as well if desired.

The other option is ship the bike to me via u-ship and fly out. Rent a van or pickup truck or pay for a rental for me and you can borrow my truck for driving around Colorado and riding.

I live in a state that doesn't require a helmet, and I feel like it encourages people to being even bigger squids which sucks. But I kinda feel like if they don't care, then I don't care. I look like an alien all geared up, but if they're grown and are aware of the consequences then let them do what they want

when I was in FL for a cruise. I rented a bike, and was riding around without a helmet. I got to 40mph, and then decided it was too scary. Stopped, and put it back on.

I agree with this however i think that if they are in an accident their insurance shouldnt cover any head injuries if they were not wearing their helmet during the accident. If you're going to be stupid and not protect your dome and crash then it sucks to be you!

Doesn't usually apply to insurance since it's covered under medical insurance and not vehicle insurance. That and people are more likely to die when not wearing a helmet meaning their medical insurance wouldn't have to pay for anything.

I say let people do what they want. Doesn't affect my life in a significant way.

the WRs and supermotos around me are around $5k.. or so ive found. It could be that since its getting warm and the season is starting, people are jacking up the prices.

Im just browsing right now. Wont be in the market for another bike until the fall/winter. Or unless I get an urge
