Now just trying to figure out a way to keep the excess water and particles from splashing in there and ruining them

 

Are the fogs plug and play?

 

The fogs suck I must say, I'm sending mine back. They look awesome, they don't throw the light far enough compared to the stock halogens. I'm ordering my Piaa's again even though these are cheaper. I just can't see anything with them, they have no pattern and just scatter light everywhere. The fogs are plug and play.

 

Scatter caused by running LEDs in a halogen reflector can actually cause reduced visibility in fog, despite greater lumen output.

 

I'd suggest the Osram nightbreakers based on my research, though I'm not running them yet in my fogs. It is on my todo list.

 

Yup.... Lumen output is higher, they are bright as Sh.. Reduced visibility no matter in fog or not. The technology just isn't there for a plug and play to get the right pattern.

 

Bugger, I already ordered the piaas, they worked great for me last time. Looking at doing the osram on the headlights next, ultimate headlight upgrade. I'll check out the fogs too. ..

 

Very common problem in running HIDs/LEDs in a halogen reflector. The optics are all wrong.

You won't be disappointed in that headlight upgrade.

 

do you guys think getting projector style headlight housings would fix this problem? my stock headlight housings are getting really foggy/blurry and I'm looking to replace them soon. I'm interested in LED headlights too but I don't want to blind everyone coming my way lol

 

which projector style headlights are you planning to get?

 

Yes, projector retrofits solve the problem. Good ones are near $1000.

 

I got the Boltlink bulbs for my fogs. Same color temp, works really well

 

I was planning getting the Venom ones but then others on this site sneered at the quality of the projectors. Not willing to risk $300 to find out for sure. These are the lights:

Due to sticker shock I'm not paying $1k for a retrofit. Too much $$! Guess I will remain "one of those guys" then with the LEDS in the stock lights.

 

same here bro can't afford the 1k yet. No problem tho 100 bucks for led is cherreh . It's bright as f tho.

 

Hi! I like mine and how they look, however I am not sure if they were properly installed, I never check if each LED "bulb" was meant to be for left or right beam and or if the orientation of the led "bulb" had an up or down setting, I wonder this because I am not 100 % sure low beams have the right focus or the high beams are "aiming" where they're supposed to.

 

All bulbs should have orientation tabs so there is only one way they can be put in. Right and left do not matter, you cannot install them upside down. Double check they are seated correctly.

i'm thinking about picking these Anzos up since i think a lot of the LED scatter is coming from hazy/old headlights
