    I have had clicking for a few months up in the front, I thought it was my skid plates at first, because they were loose. But has been persistent ever since I tightened them. Doesn't sound like the clicking stopped when you rebooted. What/ how bad (for the truck) is that clicking do you suppose? It's loud while wheeling, and clicks quite a bit while I DD the truck.

    Reserected from the dead.
    I never rebooted. Frame broke. Joints never broke. Only time they clicked was turning sharp in four wheel drive.

    One of my boots has been completely torn ever since i had truck (2.5 years) and it still feels fine even with a full 3" of lift. I have an oem shaft i got free at the scrap yard waiting to go on.

    You guys are crazy on here with shocks. Not all used "fancy" shovks need rebuilt especially if it was probably just dirt roads or daily miles. Look at how long oem stuff lasts..... to each there own.

    Quick question. Because I still have that 96 and might be stuck with it:rant:will front fenders from a 99 5 lugger interchange with my 96? I found a pair of rust free fenders for 40 bucks. Just wondering if they'd work. And also, changed my oil today.

    From what I remember they're suggested to be re built every 30000. It's not hard or expensive.

    Well there's a good chance. These guys are the reason for 350$ all made sense to me.

    I got mine with a bunch of other parts so it hard for me to say exactly what I paid for just the Kings but probably about the same as you.

    Even if they need rebuilt, find a friend with the right tools, maybe $50 to rebuild. Or send them back to King, $150 I think is their going rate for a rebuild...

    I'll be installing mine soon. Hopefully...

    Yours look like they've a lot more pre-load. Could be an indicator that the coils started to sag a bit.

    Don't let any of these guys discourage you. Those Kings are a great deal at $400. Even if evrything needs replacing (coils, shafts, heims) they are still a good deal
