Are you selling these racks yet? I do not see them listed on your website. And are these aluminum racks or steel racks?

If it was me I would powder coat with a texture finish. However, if I were planning future modification to the rack such as tabs, mounts, etc. I would just paint for now. Bed liner has its place but is hard to remove and it's looks deteriorate faster due to fade and deep texture that tends to retain dirt.
But I'm the fancy kind of guy who likes his shit to look good and oem or better. Preferably better.

Yeah that makes sense... I want it to look good as well and I want it to last! Definitely don't want to have to go back and paint it every other week or wish I would have something different.... It looks like if you lay down a good primer then Paint should be fine

I set some radio stations. That's about it so far.
This is my mismatched solution for a kayak rack on my 2010 Access Cab Tacoma. No holes drilled. I was able to use the existing sliding rails with stuff I found at Home Depot and/or Amazon. I can loosen the crossbars to rotate the Yakima Hullraisers so they don't stick up so high. If I get really adventurous, I'll cut the rack legs so it rides a little lower. With the hullraisers ($105 each), I'm at about $450 all in.

@snowtank special. Simple and well built. Bolts for the Hi Lift were fabbed in. Shovel uses quick fists.

How has that been treating your bedsides when the bed rack is packed full of gear? Why didn't you go with full length pieces instead of just the feet?

No issues at all, it is made more than strong enough to hold what I need and with how light it is I'm sure the box sides are just fine. Didn't go with a full length piece just to save on weight and to still be able to utilize the bed rail system for my shovel mount as well as a 6ft long aluminum tube that is mounted inside the box. I've done full pieces on other racks I've made but didn't need to for this one.

Was curious because a previous bed rack I had did not have full length rails and with the weight of an RTT and rotopax on each side of the bed rack, it managed to wind up warping my bed rails and bowing out my bedsides a little bit over time.

Wow, well I'll definitely keep an eye on it and if I notice anything it's an easy fix to add a full piece. Thanks for the heads up!
