    Yeah that's what I get for ordering it through a different company, I may order the part directly through toyota and re-use my old snap rings and bearings. Cost is about $40 more but the parts would also be brand new.

    I was checking out the new one that Brandon @avid built. It uses 2 hydraulic jacks and is about twice the size. Even with that size its not easy to make a skid plates at all from what I can tell. Nothing compared to some of these more expensive machines that can rip them out in minuites like 4x innovations

    For the average joe in the garage, these pressbrakes can save a ton of time. If you do it right you can even bend up plate bumpers in sections on a small pressbrake. No one's getting a brake like Adams got in their garage.

    I understand that this break can do a ton with patience im just saying that building a 1/4 skid wont be an easy task in a small break. Just moving that giant hunk of metal around is a PITA.

    I commend anyone willing to take on that task. It will have great reward once finished for sure. Notbto mention be significantly less expensive.

    Haha well this thread went downhill quick :p

    I mainly bought the press to be able to make brackets and other smaller stuff, and eventually I'll upgrade the Jack to an air over hydraulic so it would be much easier and faster. But yes that little 20" press brake doesn't stand a chance against some of the ones the pros use.

    Truth. J always has been a pucker trail but I think that's why I like it so much. I usually always just hug the rock and use it as a pivot point but the vids I got of Q and Ant make me confident knowing I don't need to. Also you can see in the vid exactly when Ant dropped off the rock on Yellow Jacket and how his wedged wheel caused so much damage to the front diff.
