    From building code it is not. The cable could get pinched and start a fire. I have done it satisfactory results using a curled bungee style electrical cord. This method is not UL-listed so will not pass code.

    They do make a drawer plug but it's a mother fucker to install and you have to be with the wall and cabinet guy from the very beginning of the installation in the house or building. They are UL-listed
