Somehow when changing my front springs I broke the cheap plastic wheel speed sensor mount on the driver's side. One bolt and a wire plug right at the sensor. Two minute disconnect. So I start calling Autozone and what not for a replacement. No such luck. Apparantly, even though '05 up is the same, this is an exclusive Toyota piece. So I call Toyota...

Holy Crap! This little piece of shit plastic piece costs $215. Since I bought the truck there, they are offering me the bargain price of $185.

I'm calling junkyards today in hopes of finding a used one. Wish me luck.

Moral of the story. Be damn careful not to break anything when you're messing around up by your front brakes.

    $125 at www.rockauto.com. That's for 05-07. It doesn't list one for 08-09 though.

I wish it was so easy. I tried plastic epoxy and it worked for the structure but the wires/components embedded in the plastic body were apparently damaged too. There is no way to repair them that I know of. The ABS and VSC idiot lights were still on.

Ok, you've got my attention. Could you elaborate on this a little more, please? Is there nothing but two wire ends embedded in that plastic sensor probe? I have the piece off already and the wires disconnected.

I think you might have misunderstood me. The wire plug connector thingy is fine. It's the actual sensor in the spindle itself that broke. The sensor is all plastic and L shaped. It has a plastic probe that's shaped like the 1" fore end of a ball point pen that goes into the spindle. It then takes a right angle turn to the mounting bracket (where the 10 mm bolt connects it to the spindle). The piece broke at the right angle turn.

By the way, what's with all the different login names that has the same avatar picture?

You've just been waiting for a chance to use that smiley huh? Why is it worthless without pics? Yes, pictures would make it easier to understand. The only thing worthless in this thread is your post that contributes absolutely nothing positive to the task at hand.

Yeah, I think your stuck needing to get a new sensor. Sorry about your luck there.

That avatar (Bill and Michele) was to show support for Michele. Bill (Longbow) is a longtime and respected member of the TW community. Michele last her battle to Leukemia. Just about everyone on the site had that avatar up.

And go easy on db67fm. He was merely just trying to lighten the mood a little. That goes on a lot here (TW).

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Cancer/leukemia is ugly, ugly stuff. A nice way to pay homage though.
