    btw, i don't have this when i play soccer, only when running and most severe when running on paved trails

    Yeah, but were you fitted for them? I've heard of a lot of problems with shoes that fit great but were not the right shoes for the way you run.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    It could be tendonitis of the superior extensor retinaculum (see red circle in attached pic). That appears to be the only thing in the location you have described. Below are some tips to help cure the tendonitis (if indeed that is what it is). I would recommend an akle brace when running and some sports creme, and three.........no.............four shots of bourbon.
