I've swapped that gear over a dozen times switching between winter and summer tires and never had a problem. I can do it in about 2 minutes now.

 

Lucky! I was blessed with corrosion that damaged my sender on the way out.

When people switch from 16" to 17" wheels, do they add spacers? Or do you need a lift to change the rim size?

You can change them and have no problem. You do have to get new tires though

So if current wheels are 16x8, in order to change the rim size do you generally go to 17x8?

 

Generally yes but you can change it with your tire width to. I know the 35s i want need a 8.5 wide rim or wider..... Yat a yata yat a

 

It's official now....taking the truck into the dealership. Do the prev gen trucks have with windshield seal issues? If the temp/humidity is just right, I get condensation inside the windshield. I keep on getting thin layer of ice inside the windshield....

 

That could be condensation from the inside of the cab. Run your AC which will act as a dehumidifier and dry out the cab.

 

I have the same problem every now and then. I thought it was i was just breathing to hard over the excitment of driving the truck!!?
