    Hey Bud,

I just picked one up from a Toyota dealership for $245 shipped.

You remove the rubber strips on the roof of your truck, and the rack comes with two mounts for the front and 6-7 screws that fit in pre-drilled holes. It takes about 10-15 mins total. You can find them on ebay but might have a hard time getting one from a TW member...

If you want the dealer info, let me know.

    Good Luck!

I'm ordering mine today from the dealer. They price match online parts suppliers so I can get a better deal. They are matching the price from tacomapartsstore.com at $230.10. Does anyone have a better site for cheaper price before I go? Sorry if it seems like a thread jack but I didn't want to start another thread for this.

Yes they don't charge for shipping to the dealer. The dealer is only a mile from my house, I have to pass by it everyday on the way home.

Would a Factory roof rack be able to hold a 24 ft ladder?

Probably wouldn't try that. I stack 2 10ft surfboard on mine and it seems to do ok though. Weight limit is 75bs I believe.

Im guessing thats a 12' X 2? I would think you would be ok if you tie it off at the front and rear bumpers to avoid so massive twisting in a turn. I cant see the ladder being heavier than a canue and I have seen them loaded on roof racks a few times. Some rubber or foam on the crossbars between the ladder/ rack and all should be fine..
