Only for Toyota factory workers, it's an additional $2,250 down payment from Toyota on top of employee pricing. Limited to once every 3 years.

It was your order that got me the price I paid! I requested a quote from Freeman on your truck a couple of weeks ago and their system immediately sent me one, but they emailed me the next morning to say it was a sold order and they'd have to order another. I used the quote on my local dealer and they matched the percentage discount from sticker, so thanks!

Is it only in Socal where Tacomas have a "Dealer Markup"?

I have a 2016 Tacoma DCLB TRD Sport
-Premium &Tech Pckg/ with JBL Audio

    Extras:
    - Tow Pckg
    - Bed Extender
    - Bed Step
    - Bed Mat
    - Cast Aluminum Running Boards
    -Door Still Protectors
    - Exhaust Tip
    - All Weather Floor Mats
    - Paint Protection Plan

    MSRP was $37,800.

Dealership had a mark up of $4000 and other BS added mark ups.

    Final Dealer's Asking Price...

$46,729!! ( No way in hell was I going to pay this)

Purchased Price: $38,000 (Not out the door)

I didnt really need all those extras but the truck was 1 of 3 Long Bed Tacomas available in Orange County at the time. I was negotiating with all 3 dealerships for about a week. I was getting kinda desprate towards the end of the week cause I did not have a car and was Ubering it to work. What do you guys think?

So you paid close to MSRP. Nothing wrong with that. I paid MSRP $31369 on mine with unnecessary negotiating imo. Dealer wanted $40k smh with all the added BS. Wasn't worth me waiting and fooling around with dealership shenanigans across the Bay Area. People have money out here and dish it out freely so they markup cars ridiculously and unbelievably sell at those markup prices. Saving $500-$1000 off MSRP wasn't worth the trouble as long as I got what I wanted.

Did they include lube as an additional option? Hope they didn't stick it to you dry. Lol.

~$3000 off MSRP from Freeman Toyota in Santa Rosa, CA. $35,500 before TTL for a DCSB 4X4 TRD Sport with P&T, JBL and Tow (Sticker ~$38500) ordered from the factory. Best I've seen in our overpriced state and they've got a pretty solid waiting list going. The transaction was mostly fast and painless except for the mandatory warranty and pre-paid service pitch from financing. No doubt that's where they make up their margin.

Here in Ohio, the Tax is only on the Trade Difference too, but if memory serves it 7%.

You paid 200 over MSRP. Don't worry about it if you like the truck. You won't even think about the price paid a few years down the line.

Well technically you did pay under invoice not including fees. But that is a sort of meaningless statement. You paid $223 over invoice ($35,174 - $34,951). So not below invoice but still a really good deal I think.

It's hard to know how well someone did without knowing all the details. Take trade-ins for instance. Someone could sell you a truck as MSRP but give you $2,500 more for trade than its worth and that would be a good deal. Or they could sell you a new truck at invoice but hose you on your trade value. You need every detail to know for sure how good a deal it is. And then you also need to believe what people write on the internet.

The sales pitch was mandatory, not the warranty. I didn't bother even paying attention to the cost/coverage because it is well known that they are universally a huge rip off full of fine print. I'm sure there are plenty of horror stories if you search the forum or google for extended warranty scams.

The only deal I could get was $700 over their "invoice" here in Socal. In hindsight I forgot to ask to see their invoice price. He told me it was $33,851 so selling price was $34,551 plus TTL. I feel good about the deal I received after talking to mupltiple dealers in the area wanting sticker price or more. Sticker on my truck was $35,879.

What you listed comes to an invoice of $32,687 (including destination) according to my calculation. Are you sure you don't have any other options? How about the towing option?

The SoCal market is tough, there are too many people willing to pay MSRP. $700 over a true invoice price would be a decent deal.
