    Yes but welding on a frame is probably worse I would think. There are tons of holes in the frame, but welding can weaken it no?

    That's not my understanding. A good weld should not weaken it. Plus you are welding on some steel plate, making it stronger.

    I'm no welding expert, but I did stay at a holiday Inn last night.

    If its a good solid weld it will actually make the metal a little bit stronger. When you heat metal up and it cools down it makes it stronger.

    Good to know!. That makes some sense!. No doubt it would be stronger than bolts, but it is nice being able to take them off for complete repaints and even large touch-ups..

    Lol I cut it to where I can put it back together but I thought it was gonna work. I had my hopes up. Guess I'll be splicing the wires back together when I get time
