What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I thought about that too, but I'd probably still keep it just in case the pop & lock fails.

Wonder what the longevity on these things are like. I had the touch lock set so all doors unlocked, but switched back to just the driver's door to keep from actuating the tailgate every time I unlock the door. It'll still actuate every time you lock the doors though.

I had some bedliner sprayed onto my stock grille, it didnt hold very well. Well, I also ran it through a touchless wash which probably doesnt help.

 

Do you have a picture showing which wires you tapped into?

the wires from this video to my setup are flipped though. not sure why.

 

Did you grease the locking mechanism?

 

that thing has ton of grease on it from the factory already.

 

I'm referring to the Pop & Lock Mechanism. Mine did not come greased up.

Here's what your rims would look like if you dipped them

 

I thought about also dipping my side sticker but when I felt it, it was flat all the way across. How difficult was it to dip your 4x4 sticker and be able to peel it off to get the 4 x 4 sport and TR D out of it?

He probably purchased new stickers from a fellow member and swapped them out.

 

I agree with you, more than likely that's what he did. I saw the tape & didn't know if he was fixing to tape it off to dip it.

 

Ahh gotcha. I've thought about swapping mine out with some customs ones......just haven't made the move yet.
