Yes, but the fact that they make an effort on day one is promising.

    Morning all

Just hit 50 on the 18th of March , not that big of a deal actually . I'm hoping to retire at 60 if everything works out like it needs to , and that's all up to me . To anyone close to 50 , congrats !

Sore knees this morning. I installed a rear U-bolt flip kit yesterday when I got home from work. About 45 minutes of crawling around on the driveway = many hours of wildly painful knees. The kit is done though. Fit like a glove! (Not OJ's glove either) Instant ground clearance!

Heavy rain and upper 60's here this morning.

Hope yer day is a good'n!

    Morning Blue and all!

Of course I'm gonna copy you Blue. Can you send me the flip kit details and source? I'm doing everything I can to gain decent ground clearance. I sometimes catch dirt/sod/mud in that area under the leafs, because I try to avoid lines that are mid/center to the truck and can catch the rear pumpkin. One of these days, it might not be dirt, but a rock that I hit with the exposed u-bolt threads. The u-bolt flip seems a decent upgrade $$ value for the benefit.

Speaking of ground clearance, anyone do the exhaust reroute? That's an inch and a half to 2 inch loss of clearance right there. I'm still debating it.

I've been considering doing something with the exhaust cross-over pipe. At the very least, making some sort of skid plate/guard to protect what is there.

Harbor Freight knee pads are your friend. They're cheap and they help.

I have 3 pairs of knee pads at work.....Need to take a pair home. I've got one pair that came from a company that sells carpet installation tools. They were over $100. They cover knees and shins. VERY comfortable. But they are useless when I'm at home and they're at work....

Shackle flip is a good and easy way to get clearance, don't forget you need a bump stop also
Check my build thread (click on the pic) I had the exhaust rerouted for just a few bucks.

I feel for your knees blue, I did the work on my truck to save some bucks and some of the suspension took a week to recover from.

I may do "Dakars" later on this summer (when the money tree is in full bloom) If I do that, I'll do the shackle flip at the same time. I'm cloning a set of Wheeler superbump rear brackets for my truck. Gonna do them front and rear.

I do lifts for other people too. I average 2 a month lately. When I do them, I take my time. When I'm doing something for myself, and there's no pay check waiting, I get in a hurry. That ALWAYS comes back to haunt me. Less time = pain in most cases.

    Evening all.

Spring Taco work on my day off tomorrow.
Finally doing my rear diff mod.
Oil and filter change and check fluids. Rotate tires and install 1/2 inch spacer on the LF.

align and add a little more toe. Hope she fits like I measured. :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:
Then all I need to do is clean the inside and wax the ol girl.

Over 1/2 low. Heavy taco lean. It's going to be close with thread count.
