    Lots...
@ramonortiz55 Man, I don't want to, but I will have to back up... two of my clients are holding payments and they owe me a lot... That, and the actual exchange rate MXN to USD is not the best time for me... For the next in the waiting list, enjoy it for me!

Can anybody confirm the shipping costs for 4 tents? Is it the standard rate of $200 ($250 with lift gate) since 4 tents fit on a pallet?

To all of those eagerly awaiting spending our tax refunds, I figure I'd share what little information I know. I have a trip planned early June, so I called CVT this morning just to check and make sure they'd be able to process and fill orders by that date. I was told by Crystal (although everyone who I've talked to working there is amazingly helpful) that we will be able to place our orders late April, and they will be shipped/ready for pickup by early to mid-may. Pretty quick turnaround.

Also, because of the discount, no sales tax, and not paying for shipping, I'd like to switch my order (#21) to the Mt.Shasta w/ Stargazer + anti-condensation mat, most likely in the gray color that is TBA, if available.

Thanks again for putting this all together Ramon!

So after much difficult thought I've decided to be a responsible adult. Need to finance a trip back to the UK and pay off debts more than I need a new tent. I'll pick one up later on and just use the 10% TW discount.

I'm #92, give my slot to someone on the wait list.

I've been out in a few bad storms....tent tried a venus fly trap move and closed up with me inside once. My fault as I chose my site poorly and didn't account for the weather. I was in a storm last fall with 70mph gusts, knocked down a bunch of trees and Runner was swaying in the wind but everything held up find. SOUNDED awful and I was expecting some damage come morning but all was good.

We do recommend getting two pieces of rebar put a bend at one end like an L. They should be. A 1' to 2' long. Then put them in the opposite direction over the last step in the ground so it holds down the ladder and this won't happen.

Once we get the total amount of tents and the styles we will get a quote. This can save a bit of money. Some times $100 plus per tent.

I had the ladder anchored down with regular tent stakes but the ground was to saturated from the rain that they pulled right out. That only happened when my tent was on my truck, haven't had an issue with it since I got the Runner. Difference in amount of air moving under the tent I guess.

This is a funny coincidence. This morning my girlfriend was trying to talk me out of getting a RTT because we got driven out of our campground last weekend due to wind. Guess I'll have to share @MTgirl 's story with her. I'll leave out the being swallowed alive part.

I hope it's reasonable with 4 tents. Shipping might end up being a deal breaker for me if it's still 100+ per tent.

Its noisy as hell in the tent (not much different than a ground tent) with everything shaking and flapping in the gusts but its survivable. The tents are pretty stout. I've woken up in my ground tent before wit hthe wind blowing so hard the poles are being bent downward and the walls are pushed in. The storm I was in last fall was something like 30mph sustained and 70mph gusts. Heard a few trees breaking/falling nearby. I almost got up to take the rain fly off to make the tent quieter but I figured if a bad gust came up it would end up in the next county  I was expecting to see something ripped open the next morning but I was fine....had to move a couple trees off the road to get back out...
WHen the tent closed up on me I was parked in a wide open area and had hte ladder facing the wind. Gust came up, picked up the ladder, and the tent started to close. I was inside, laying with arms and legs spread out in an attempt to weigh down the tent to no avail. I ended up moving to a different site, something with a little cover, and set up facing away from the wind.
