Not true. Their radar just has to be on. Mine picked one up 2 miles away around a bend.

I don't understand why the Wet Okole seat covers are so expensive. What's special about them?

Yep, since radar guns emit waves in all directions, a radar detector will pick up a nearby radar gun whether it's pointed at you or not. A radar gun can only measure your speed if it's moving toward or away from the direction it's pointed within a certain angle. For example, you can't clock something directly in front of you that's moving perpendicular to your direction, you'd have to clock as it moves away or toward you. It's called the Doppler Effect.

Likewise for me....was messing around keeping up with another car on the freeway getting up to 90 mph....radar sounds.....i slow down while the other car i was keeping up with continues....about 10 miles up the road i see that same car pulled over with blue and red lights behind it....I was tempted to honk but figured that would be in poor taste lol. happened to me a number of occasions. Best investment in my mind.

Generally 2 a day here. And so far I am the only one I have seen with a TRD Sport Access RWD. Over 90% I have seen are doublecab SR5's or doublecab TRD Sports. Have seen 2 access cabs since Jan 2nd.
