I'll take them if they are the basic chrome acorn style. I need them for my pick up spindles when I do my front.

A quick search finds the post here:

I had mine done at Align-Tech in Escondido after Jason installed the 5100s raised to .85" on my 2010 Tacoma. Discount Tire in San Marcos had referred me there with a discount card when I went there first for an alignment (they don't do alignments)... I think it was $80 after the $20 discount??? Don't quote me on that exact price. They gave a computer printout of the before and after figures. Good experience but the owner did want me to get some more work done there (naturally), as he heard the bad wheel bearing that Jason replaced later.

Hi folks, long time since I posted here.

I'm looking to purchase my 2nd battery soon, maybe today. I've settled on a Deka Intimidator 9A34R, made by East Penn. Website says nearest authorized distributor is East Penn Warehouse in Spring Valley. Google identifies it as "Brodin's/East-Penn Warehouse". Has anyone dealt with them? They have best price and claim battery has been on their shelf a month. Other place I found the battery is Deep Cycle Battery San Diego (in El Cajon). They charge about a case of beer more. Any recommendations for either? Or another?

I've bought a few batteries from Deep Cycle San Diego and have had a good experience. I just bought my 3rd one last week for the solar setup on my van. I have 2 large 180ah batteries on a solar setup on my garage from them.

Called them; they don't carry Deka's. Salesman tried to talk me into getting a Northstar or Odyssey. He wasn't too pushy and was just doing his job.

lembowski, thanks for sharing your experience. May try the new business for the experience. May have to finish my project this weekend. The fam is making me drive them to Pureto Nuevo for lobster lunch and some shopping.

That's odd I swear I saw some new Deka batteries last time I was there. North Star is a better battery that's for sure. There is a wholesale place in national city called metro auto parts and they stock all the Deka batteries, but you need an account with them in order to buy parts

No doubt North Star and Odyssey are the best and extreme batteries. I don't do extreme stuff and I don't always have to have the best. Sometimes, good or better is good enough.

I ended up buying the Deka from Deep Cycle SD cause I was ready and anxious to install my 2nd battery on Sat and Brodin's is not open on weekends - their loss! I really like that Deka. I got a group 34; it's low profile but packs a good punch.
