And that's not too far of a leap from helmet and seat belt laws. ....

If we required everyone to pass an IQ test before breeding, surely that would benefit society. The stupid people might not comply though so we should probably sterilize them.

I know I'm getting into the weeds a bit with that one but it's important to realize that freedom and a free society means people are going to make decisions and live their lives in a manner you might not agree with. Much like freedom of speech pretty much guarantees some idiot is going to say something you don't like.

You can't have freedom and then expect everyone to conform to your way of thinking. Who gets to set the standard?

Unfortunately, we're slowly but surely giving up more and more of our freedoms every day.

If they're taking away a freedom you don't care about, well then that's ok. Sooner or later though it will be something you do care about but it'll be too late.

Enough with that. Lets talk about bikes. The cr125 I got has a pretty good size dent in the expansion chamber. After some Google I found you can plug one end and fill it 75% full of water then stick it in the freezer and the ice should pop it out.

    Anyone ever done this?

If I work my ass off this summer and make enough cash to cover tuition the next few semesters I might pick up a cheap KLR 650 or similar (2.5k budget) for longer distance road travel. I might also buy a craigslist special for $500 and rebuild it too.

@teamhypoxia I never said that we should force anyone to wear a helmet. So it is apples to oranges. All i said is if they want to be stupid then others shouldn't have to pay for it.

Do it! I want a more comfortable bike for longer distances too. Something that can reach at least ~90 mph

Didn't say the system was perfect ;)

Laws related to DUI, illegal narcotics, etc are what I'm referring to.

I'm all for freedom but there's certainly reasons for the laws we do have.

i look at the helmet law the same way as i look at the seatbelt law. it's a major safety item designed to save your life, and if you're over the age of 18 and you're dumb enough not to wear one then it's on you

Stop comparing bananas to hyenas and talk about bikes!

You guys think there's any truth to the rumor that Suzuki's developing a supercharged 1400 for the next Hayabusa?

Meh. Looks like a liter bike that got overinflated. :notsure:
They've got to stuff all of that motor in there somehow, lol.

It's not even the fastest production bike. Might as well stick to a liter.
That thing is ugly as fuxk

Meh. I'm actually not crazy about the weird intersecting angular look that a lot of the new sportbikes have.

To anybody considering getting spoke skins, don't do it. Most time consuming thing ever.

Just spend the money to get spokes professionally painted or something. I know I will next time.
