Any chance of bringing in a new sale or GB for Tacoma gear? I see there's one going on FJC forums but couldn't find anything here at the moment.

They ran the 15% off sale the ENTIRE month of Feb for Tacomas. Keep your eyes on the Group Buy forums and vendor deals.

Night Eagle and @Joshp767, I checked the clearance between the exhaust and the mid-skid. It looks to be about 1/8" -3/16." Aside from an exhaust reroute, what's the fix? A spacer added between the crossmember and spacer bar maybe?

So there is a space between the exhast and skid? Then that shouldn't be the exhaust. I wouldn't think, at least. Double check everything is tight. What skids did you get from josh?

You could try the spacer or taking a hammer to the exaughst and see if that fixes it. I had the rattle but I lived with it and them got a reroute. But josh has done a few changes sense my first mid skid. Try one of the first to options and let me know. Also double check all bolts. I know it is redundant. But when in doubt check bolts.

If now of those work. Either give josh a call or I will try to get ahold of him. But I posted his number a few pages back and he is good at answering the phone.

Thanks Night Eagle. I'll try another spacer first. Then pound it with a BFH if needed. I hesitate to go through the expense of an exhaust reroute because the exhaust is 11 years old. I wanted to wait till it needs to be replaced, then do the reroute on the new exhaust. But the old exhaust looks in good shape though.

You didn't need longer bolts? did you need it on all the bolts? what size did you use?

Sorry, for all the questions, this would help me and the others when they only order the front skid plate.

    Thanks

Skid installed, used 3 washers on each bolt, no vibration or rubbing so far.

Compared to the stock skid plate.

I did 3 washers on each side, the front diff is on the skid plate.
The only new noise from my truck is when I'm decelerating to exit the freeway and I think it's the diff vibrating on the plate, I'll take the washers out and replace them with thicker nylon spacers.
