What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

You get that many dirty looks? Whenever I see a lifted Tacoma or Jeep with one I think they look f**kin badass!! Wish I knew how to photoshop one on my rig before I went through with it...

 

Threw on these TRD Pro headlights today....very subtle but classy detail imo

 

What is the best source for these?

 

I work at walmarts supply chain nd i can tell you thet just 1 day and 1 trailer we can receive a whole truck of the same oil case, there is 42 distribution centers in america, do the math on the bulk savings.

Not surprising, but not what I would call a "cheap" mod.

 

I was somewhat kidding but you do get some crazy looks!

 

You can do the same thing for cheap with some Krylon Fusion spray paint, some silicon sealant, and an afternoon of your time.

Look up the Black headlight mod (BHLM)... Pretty easy to do once you get over the fear of sticking your headlights in the oven LOL!

 

Ok...I know I'll get funny looks for this, but....I keep a full roll of TP and some plastic grocery bags tucked into a plastic coffee can like the one below.

Why? More TP. I have a young daughter and she's been able to use it as a portable toilet for #1 and #2. If you have to, you wrap it tight in a plastic bag and dump it into a trash. The bags are also good for dog poop. It also works well to have the bucket if someone starts getting sick. It also is good if someone (in my life before the tacoma) gets stuck and you need to dig out of sand.

 

Thanks, looking forward to it. Was considering something similar with the leftover leds I have from my bedlight install.

Huh. I guess i can see that. My brain just always goes to the idea of habing headlights on so other people can see you well.

Any of you ever tried this? Saw this in the frugal mod thread and wondered if others have tried it/if it made a noticeable difference?

Well? Does it work?

I've been having issues with high notes in both my tweeters and the speakers mounted in the headliner

 

I would be surprised if it works. The lack of high notes comes from Toyota using a cheap paper cone and whizzer dome tweeter. Removing the cover may clean up the sound a bit, but it will also reduce the moisture resistance. The speaker may wear our prematurely, but in this case that's not a bad thing.

 

I'm planning on ripping out the old junk yota speakers eventually. Unless I don't get around to it.
